BMG have gone in for the kill this time - releasing this compilation on the same day as their rivals' "Now 51" so they try to go one better if the title is anything to go by. However on the whole it still pales in comparison with the Now series. Although "Now 51" is below par compared to its recent predecessors, "Hits 52" still has a long way to go to match the all-conquering Now. In its favour it has Will Young's "Evergreen", along with recent personal favourites by Steve Balsamo, Alcazar and Jamiroquai, however it shares several titles with "Now 51" and at the end of the day it looks as if the rival collection wins out again. Oh and another thing - why the Spanish version and not the English version of Shakira's hit?
