Anyone looking for the customary "Hits 61" compilation, in competition with the latest "Now 60" from EMI/Universal, will have had difficulty, because this is it. Warners were either not asked or declined to contribute, so the vast majority of tracks come from the newly merged Sony-BMG labels and, actually, so long as you're over 30, it's quite a bit better than some previous issues.

It is decidedly middle-of-the-road, with much less emphasis than there used to be on the club/dance tracks, which are largely confined to the end of CD2 - there is in fact very little here that you won't hear from time to time on Radio 2!
