. Saints of Los Angelesby: Motley Crue Release Date June 30, 2008 From the drooling reviews on here you would think Crue were back to their best, well they're not. This album is OK but it has loads of filler and is no more than average. I would say this had potential but is wildly overproduced. Take the track Saints of Los Angeles, anyone who has the game Rock Band has already heard a rawer and much better version without the 'metal choir' (gang mix or whatever they call it). It has been produced to death and the energy and drive leeched out of it. I suspect this is true of much of the rest of the material here. It's a shame but they have really gone OTT in the mixing booth. Just play and record it with no more than a few tweaks guys! |
