A great movie. Unlike the misleading marketing campaign that suggested this would be a more overt, American-style horror ( yes, i did know it was Spanish ), this is what you would call a classic chiller, of a kind that you don't see much anymore. It doesn't rely on gore, or musical over-scoring, or any of the other things that lazy filmakers use to falsely build the tension. This is pure atmosphere, and the makers take their time developing it. Definitely more satisfying than the relentlessly downbeat 'Pam's Labyrinth'. You'll see what i mean.
