. Airby: Margaret Becker Release Date November 24, 2008 This is Maggie B's first album in a long time and it doesn't disappoint. She's leapfrogged from musical style to style in the 20 odd years that she's been recording but I'm pleased to say that this is back to the country rock of her 1998 album Falling Forward (which happens to be my favourite). Musically you're looking at a KT Tunstall type sound but if you're looking at this CD the chances are you're a Maggie B fan anyway. Lyrically it's her usual honest style that makes it easy to relate to. We're all going to fail and feel down sometimes but keep looking forward and things will work out. There's a reason for everything. Here's hoping we don't have to wait so long for the next album. |
