I bought this because of the over the top gore and that is exactly what I got. We're talking: severed limbs and stumps geysering blood like a fireman's hose, spurting finger stumps, jetting necks, amputations and slashings of all kinds.

We're also talking over the top characters: who shrug off nails in the head and amputations and can take more hits than Godzilla before keeling over, who cackle as they maim, mutilate and murder innocents for the slightest excuse (or none at all but because they -the yakuza boss, his wife, and son -happen to be gleeful sadists).

In my opinion this film is nothing special!!! I usually love Asian horror, but this film didn't deliver at all! Sure it had a lot of twists and turns along the way, a couple of ghosts - one sorta good and one out for revenge!! But it wasn't frightening/suspenseful enough to make it worth while.

In short 'Pray' is about a group of down-on-their-luck youths (2 in particular) who kidnap a young school girl and ransom her off to get their hands on some money. Everythings going according to plan, until their told the girl they kidnapped is already dead! What happened to her? Is she out for revenge or is their another ghost lurking in the shadows?
