This film is so funny and also at the end very romantic. The chemistry betwwen Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey is really good and the acting is belivable. The story line is original and unique with parts that will make you laugh and parts that will make you want to hide under the cushion 'casue of the cringiness she causes to him.
The story is basiclly about a girl who is a journalist and wants to write more serious stuff but her boss says that she can't, she comes up with an idea "how to lose a guy in 10 days", then he on the other hand agrees to a bet with someone that he can take someone that loves him to a party. I won't tell any more.!! But it's a completely enjoyable film. Maybe not for families but for a night in, or ... Read More:

Robin Williams (Good Will Hunting, Mrs Doubtfire) stars as Alan Parish, a man who comes back from being trapped inside a board game, to find his home town in ruins, and the only way to bring it back, is if he finishes the game.
This is a great fantasy adventure from director Joe Johnston who combines stunning and exciting visual effects with a gripping and mysterious plot.
The imagination about the board game makes the film amazing with various typical jungle elements encoded to anchor the plot and combine excitement and suspense to the narrative and characters.
Robin Williams is fantastic as Alan Parish, an uncomfortable soul who has had a difficult childhood, one which audiences can sympathize with.

This was where Cheers really took off. Season two saw the beginning of the Sam/Diane relationship which would continue to be on agian/off agian for the next 3 years and formed the basis for most of the plots. This season is full of so many great moments such as Diane trying to impress Dick Cavertt with her poetry. For me though a real classic moment was the pre credits sequence in the episode Battle of the Exes when Diane tries to book a romantic weekend at a little hotel by a lake hoping that Sam will come to think of it as 'Their' place only to be asked when she books a room for Malone if she is talkng about Sam Malone and does she want his usual room?

Not the best sci-fi movie you or I have ever watched, but it's interesting in plot to keep you watching the whole way through. If you are expecting a thrilling, remarkable plot (e.g. War Of The Worlds style) then I suggest you look elsewhere, but for a low-key quick affair this is okay. The young actors do very well, are engaging and quite believable. I do recommend as it is enjoyable and keeps you wondering!

I am a busy man and I will keep this brief.
Alcoholism is a very serious contagious disease, and I think the fact that shows like this 'Cheers' debacle even exist, and are happy to ridicule and make fun of this condition is a terrible slight on our 21st century culture. My dear old uncle Harry (God rest his bloated soul) was crippled and eventually succumbed to his love of Baileys, and if he was alive to witness this filth, he would turn in his grave and die all over again.
However, it achieves a bonus star simply for not being the disgraceful spin-off series 'Frasier', in which some doomed wretch decided it would be fine to make fun of the mentally ill. What's next? Is the next big American sitcom going to consist of a band of ... Read More:

This amusing romantic comedy stars the beautiful and talented Audie MacDowell who plays Bronte, a botanist and gardner, and the charming teddy-bear like Gerard Depardieu, who is a music composer but moonlights as a waiter until he hits the big time. Each with their own agenda, agree to a marriage of convenience and break the law. Bronte's purpose is to have enough money to continue her projects of creating gardens in the inner city for the disadvantaged. George's purpose is to obtain the coveted green card, since he arrived only on a visitor's visa. The unexpected twists and turns in this creative comedy provide great entertainment, making it a "must see" film ...

I started watching Cheers from Epsiode 1 on Channel 4 in the early 80's.
I don't think that it's impact at that time can be easily appreciated by watching one episode after another.
My friends and I used to ache for Friday's to come around to get another fix.
This collection of DVD's brings back some marvellous memories. But the acting and storylines are as strong as ever. Even with the coach so very ill and appearing for the last time.
In an era of relentless vile comedy this collection is a breath of fresh air.

Another fantastic performance from Robin Williams, and the rest of the cast make excellent appearances too. The plot is strong, the effects are marvellous still, and the directing still leaves you feeling quite emotional at the end. There are some fantastic moments that are clever and indeed well done, but its the strong plot for me that makes the movie. A true classic film for the family!

When I saw the film I thought wait a minute, this is just like Jumanji albeit on a much smaller budget and without a big Hollywood name. So it all made sense when I read that this film was based on a book by the same author.
If you haven't seen Jumanji then this film is worth watching. Otherwise don't waste your money coz its more of the same but without the expensive special effects.
