Release Date March 08, 2004
I've watched the film several times over the last 15 years and I enjoy it each time: it is good to capture the different character performances. A surprising film.
Release Date September 09, 2002
seems there are lots of 5 star reviews for this film and whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion I just don't get it. It's a film from the 80s, not much happens, no one talks very much and then it ends.
A young man is framed by a psychotic hauer for some murders he is pursued by comical, Texas cop stereotypes whilst jumping round all the holes in the plot. That's about it. 'tense, gripping thrill ride'? I've had more excitement driving to work.
Release Date June 30, 2003
With this being a Friday the 13th movie (I suppose), I really wanted to enjoy it and tried to enjoy it but sorry to say this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
First of all, FOR SHAME on the directer/producers etc for calling this a Friday the 13th movie and puttin Jasons picture on the front of the DVD box. Jason dies 6 or 7 minutes into the movie and we dont see him again untill the final 5 minutes (and I'm not exagerating).
A coroner eats Jasons heart from his dead body and is "possesed" by Jason. He then "passes on" Jasons heart to somebody else and a series of 4 or 5 people end up being "possesed" by Jason. There is NO main character(s) in the movie, the protagonist just keeps getting killed and it jumps to a new one overy 10 ... Read More:

Michael Mann needs no introductions here in 2008 as he is currently the greatest living Director. Yes, i am correct. Just think about it- Heat, Last of the Mohicans, thief, Ali, Manhunter, Collateral, Miami Vice and the masterpiece The Insider.....do i really need to continue?
In 1979, Mann was an unknown entity in cinema. He cut his teeth on American TV until he directed this little gem - The Jericho Mile.
Made for TV, this is part gritty prison movie, part equally gritty fairytale (sympathetic killer obsessively runs to Olympic standard and why not?). It's generally upbeat without being excessively naive: the walls don't simply fall, and the optimism has to seep through a quasi-documentary context of racism and violence. It's really well acted by pros and ... Read More:

I think many people are put off this film by the title-they think it's a porn film. The script, the acting, the direction and the photography are superb! The scenery - mainly Monument Valley, is breathtaking, in fact I can't think offhand, of any way in which this film is not superb. I couldn't say how many times I have watched this film over the years, at least fifteen times, and I can always watch it again! Well worth watching.

The story..A naive 16 year old with dreams of becoming a cowboy persuades a trail boss to take him along on a cattle drive. However, the rigors and realities of the dusty trail life are not as glamourous as he had imagined.
Now regarded more of a cult film but "Culppeper cattle co" is a brilliant western with outstanding photography, great action and cast. Yes there's an impressive cast of character actors filled with familiar faces from Clint Eastwood and Sam Peckinpah westerns including Bo Hopkins and Geoffrey Lewis.Dick Richards's direction is just fine and the attention to detail is great as we see the epic cattle drive and all the brutal realities of the life like drunkenness, cattle rustles, violence etc. The high quality action scenes themselves are gritty and violent with ... At times almost harking back to the Douglas Sirk weepies of the 50s, Scorsese's follow-up to Mean Streets could not have been more different, but he attacks his material in much the same manner, if with a noticeably bigger budget. The camera is still restless but where many of his later films have gravitated towards camera effects and viscera, the nervy photography is here still designed to serve the characters rather than just pump up the scene. There are still the inevitable explosions of violence (when you see a soft-spoken and charming Harvey Keitel, you know a flick-knife's not far behind) but in a recognisable domestic context here.
Dealing with everyday people and everyday emotions, the opening sequence hints at the shortfall between movie-inspired dreams and real ... Read More:

This is just pure cheese. Furballs from outer space land on earth and terrorise an isolated farmhouse whilst bounty hunters trash the town in search of them.... Yes, i thought the same thing.
When you start to watch critters prepare yourself for an opening that couldn't have been worse. It starts with a ridiculously fake looking space scene where the critters escape from an asteroid prison. Skip the scene if you have to. Here is where the fun begins. Corny lines, bad acting and of course, the critters make for one hell of a hoot. The aliens appear to have an appetite for everything! The bounty hunters dont do a bad job and the story levels out pretty nicely at the end. This movie is not supposed to be scary or gory, its just meant to convey a fun and light hearted atmosphere. and ... Read More:
