Well, while blu ray experience and especially watcjing on 7.1 channel is wonderful but alas, PLOT is terribly confused. It doesn't make sense at all, but cinematography is gorgeous. In next 6 months, it will be available for less than £ 10.

Dr Indiana Jones has long been known as a serious explorer and scholar by all readers of the National Geographic. His canon of work stands unchallenged by anyone in the world today.
Finally his in-depth documentaries have been collected together, collated, and organised, so we can see his achievements in the field of Anthropology, Archaeology, Primitive Religion and Cultural Raiding, and Driving At Speed Across Dusty Landscapes.
This particular collection has been edited and compiled by a Mr Spielburg (ed. check spelling), who, whilst generally keeping to the facts, makes each documentary slightly too fantastical for serious Archaeologists and Academics to be comfortable with. A better, more level-headed editor may ... Read More:

"Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship; but it is not this day! An hour of wolves, and shattered shields, when the Age of Men comes crashing down; but it is not this day! Today we fight! By all that you you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!"
this says it all (even in todays world but lets not go there). what books and what a movie all of them. cheers peter jackson.

A much more interesting and watchable film may have emerged if the Hayden Christianson 'Dylan' character from 'Factory Girl' was juxtaposed with Cate Blanchett's 'Dylan' character from 'I'm Not There'. The result might have been a lot shorter, but much more interesting.
As it is: Too long, often incomprehensible (even by Dylan's worst excesses), too much time on Richard Gere and the young boy (as talented as Marcus clearly is) and unbelievably boring. I wish my husband hadn't bought it for me, because I would feel guilty selling it off. But I can't bring myself to play it again, even with Blanchett being the only top-rate performance. Save your time and money.

At once more ambitious and less intriguing than its predecessor, Elizabeth: The Golden Age certainly isn't the abject disaster reviewers claimed on its theatrical release, although it's not nearly as engrossing as the original. Unfortunately, while Shekhar Kapur opens up the action and opts for a much lighter palate this time round, with at least a trailer's worth of striking visuals, the results are not particularly compelling. By focusing on the best-known part of the Virgin Queen's reign there's less of the constant sense of danger that marked its predecessor even though it amps up the threat by pitting her not against her own court but the might of the Spanish Empire and its Armada. Yet, being a sequel, it adheres to the `the same but different,' and there's certainly ... Read More:

This is a worthwhile package featuring the fine historical dramas 'Elizabeth' and 'Elizabeth:The Golden Age'.Both movies show Elizabeth 1st at different stages of her life and though they have received some critisism about their historical inaccuracies they are entertaining and well worth watching.
Cate Blanchett is fantastic in the lead role and you can't take your eyes off her.She is a wonderful actress and she is at her very best in both movies. There is very good support from the likes of Geoffrey Rush,Clive Owen,Christopher Eccleston,Joseph Fiennes and many others. The cinematography is excellent also.
Of the two,'Elizabeth' is the better movie but as a double DVD set this is a treat and definitely well worth a look. There are also extras on the two discs ... Read More:

I resisted seeing - or indeed even reading about - `Notes on a Scandal', as I had wrongly assumed it was the kind of tasteful, Oscar-baiting `Quality British Drama' that I loathe. With Cate Blanchette in tow, I thought I could smell theatre-honed, BAFTA-approved method acting a mile off. In fact, thematically and stylistically, it is nothing of the kind. Tellingly made by theatre director Richard Eyre, it is so cynical at heart that it comes across more like a satirical play than a drama. I don't know the novel (by Zoe Heller) this film was based on, but there is a misanthropic streak to `Notes on a Scandal' at odds with the kind of literary adaptation often served up by the British film industry. Films about obsessive admirers and jilted lovers are very much part of cinematic tradition ... Read More:

Fantastic film, I found the film an incredibly tense affair as I had no idea how any on the stories in the montage would pan out. Not surprised at some of the poor reviews as I can understand it not being everyone's cup of tea. However, if you like films that are beautifully shot, with brilliant acting (from all the cast)and non-formulaic stories you won't be disappointed.
