These are great films. even in black and white.

In this Film Judy Garland gives an extraordy performance. Mason is superb as well, as are the entire supporting cast. But Garland by this stage in her life had virtually driven herself into professional exile by her addiction to drugs, drink, men and self-destruction. Given one last chance and with no insurance company prepared to touch her with a barge-pole, she gives a genuine bravura performance that is surely one of the great performances by any Actress in any Film in Hollwood's history. This must stands up along side 'It's A Wonderful Life' for a quality Jimmy Stuart film. A great story: Mild mannered sheriff arrives to clean up a town run by crooks and gunslingers. Marlene Dietrich plays a superb saloon singer and 'moll', anyone who has seen 'Blazing Saddles' can see where Brookes got his character from, which is a homage rather than a lampoon. A classic western which manages to encompass suspense,comedy, romance and vivid characterization. Hollywood at its very best.

I really enjoyed this film. I am just a new fan of Carole Lombard and this was the first film i've seen her in and i'll definitely be buying more. Robert Montgomery and Jack Carson are also excellent. It is a fun comedy but if you're looking for typical hitchcock this isn't for you.

This is a great movie; I was very surprised that a low budget movie can come up with great special effects like this; it is so good that you really get the feeling that you could be watching an earthquake in progress. The script was well written and the acting was incredible. The Casts and the special effects were so good that it shows that Earthquakes can happen anywhere even in a relatively low risk zone. This movie takes a look at what might happen if a major earthquake struck Manhattan. Tom Skerritt stars as the recently resigned NYC Fire Chief who had a problem with the Mayor (Charles S.
