Watching this is a great way to stay cheerful on a rainy evening indoors.

If there is a remake of this film, I shall freak; it is a 'Wonder' of Hollywood; no one wants to rebuild the Pyramids of Egypt, The Acropolis...Why remake a wonder, it stands alone, it stands the test of time. Hollywood did this with 'Father of the Bride', the remake was a nightmare of contrived humour and schmalz.

Such films such be put on general release in cinemas.

I guess I have said it all, really.

Look at Amazon's description of the whole movie and the other reviewers, I'm going to write about my favourite scenes!

My favourite scene in this movie is the 'golf ball dancing sequence!'
The track is called 'Loch Lomond Swing' - Chapter 5.
I've got this movie as part of The Fred And Ginger collection - volume 1.
About a year ago, my dad told me about this golf ball dancing sequence he'd seen several years ago, probably in 1987 when Fred Astaire died.
My dad really wanted to see this one sequence again, and I was interested to see it too!
I remember believing I'd found it when I first purchase 'Holiday Inn' which had the sequence called 'Puttin on the Ritz' in the special features section, it's on the film called 'Blue ... Read More:

This is how to release the old movies - make them flawless. The picture quality and sound is absolutley brilliant. not much of Perry Como in this film but it is so pleasing to at last get a copy that does justice to film. Brilliant transfers!!!!!
