Some people consider "Bug's Life" as not being on the same level of quality as other Pixar productions, but I really can not agree with them. My daughter clearly wouldn't agree either. This is a very funny movie, with a lot of interesting innovations (we will never look at bugs in the same way, me and my family) and a kind of surprising kindness - even the bad guys are shown with some understanding (having chosen the life of parasite racketeers, they are now trapped by it - as much as their ant victims). The principal hero is possibly one of the most likeable characters I ever saw. I am a teenage girl aged 13, the other night my younger brother put on Sky High while i was doing my homework. I looked up and thought 'oh, another of those pointless films he always watches' when actually after 5 minutes i was intrigued! It was funny, entertaining, and a good 'hero V villain' kind of movie. In reply to 'L.Streader', whats wrong with the baby gun?! The plot of the film is obviously not real, with them being superheroes and all, so why not have a fictional gun?
Overall, a great film, and although it was 'love' side of the plot was a bit obvious, I'd recommend this to anyone. =]

well... what can i say about this film i loved it, i thought it was a great film and i think it would be a film for all the family to enjoy.
alicia silverstone plays a great role and when she falls for brendan fraser she gets even better...
i have rated this film 5 stars because i genuinely believe its worth it...

Best of 'The Kids In The Hall'

Remember catching this show on Channel 4 in the 90s. This is a great little DVD with some of their best characters including the Head Crusher and Chicken Lady. Well worth the price!! 5 Stars!

MonkeyBone is a very odd tale full of werid things going on and a very annoying monkey. There are plenty of laughs in this but it's very rude and probably not suitable for tweleve years old, maybe a higher rating would do better. But it's not without laughs and romance, Brendan Fraser is a classic in this and totally not taking himself seriously. It's worth seeing and having a laugh, just wished they killed off the monkey during the film. Argh!

This underrated, and very enjoyable political satire from 1999, stars young Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams as two not very bright teenagers who unwittingly get themselves involved in the Watergate affair. A fairly funny movie, my favorite scene must be the one where one of the girls reveal to the other the meaning behind the expression Deep Throat, but there are many other great scenes, like when the girls first stumble upon the White House tapes, and reveal to them a Nixon they didn't know. The ending, set alongside a Carly Simon's song, is also superb. What's great about this movie is the overall humor that was sorely missing in "All the President's Men" and "Nixon": in this film, Woodward and Bernstein are as much objects of ridicule as Nixon and Kissinger.

This comedy is overloaded with laugh out loud moments, ranging from the witty to the plain gross. Sorry for the pretty thin review but really, what do you expect for a review about a comedy? It's either good or it's not. And this one's very good. My only niggle is the striking similarities to the American TV series 'Scrubs'. If 'White Coats' was a deliberate response to 'Scrubs' then that's fine but if not...well, they ripped off a lot of the 'Scrubs' aspects, eg. womanising male narrator, token black guy etc.

Harmless feelgood romance has rarely been done better or looked more eyecandingly pleasing than here. The visual inventiveness of the opening teenage band scene isn't quite lived up to in the rest of the film (the singer chokes when being urged to dedicate the song to the girl of his dreams - we see him sweat and 'feel naked'). Nevertheless, 90 minutes of sweetnatured and agreeable diversion.

The Kids In The Hall are comedy genius` in their own right. There are 5 members of the comedy troupe - Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney, Bruce McCulloch and Scott Thompson. Each member writes at least one sketch per episode and is painfully funny and imaginative. Characters range from 30 old ladies called Helen to a guy whose catchphrase is "I`m crushing your head"!
It would be great if there were more extras but the extras you do get will have you in fits - especially the Rivoli sketches, which will have you begging for more.
Definately a must have for all KITH fans.
