I first saw this beautiful and legendary film today and all I can say is, what a gem it really is!
The storyline is wonderful, the acting is truely unbeatable and "Kes" will make you both laugh and cry.
Lynne Perrie who later went on to play Ivy Tilsley in Coronation Street, deserves recognition as a fantastic actress, I loved her in "Corrie", "Queenie's Castle", "Follyfoot", "Leeds United" and of course, her infamous appearances on "The Word" and "Shooting Stars". But perhaps her best work is "Kes" where she plays the mouthy Mrs. Casper.
The other actors are also brilliant and the storyline is strong.
Above all, this film is a truely remarkable piece of work that I can fully recommened you see.
Release Date January 29, 2007
Unfortunately, this is no longer the Ultimate Video Collection. I guess we'll have to wait until "Weird Al" retires or dies for that. However, if you get this and his latest album Straight Outta Lynwood, you'll have a fantastic collection of songs and videos that will keep you entertained and amused for a very long time.
Most of the songs on here are parodies. They cover lots of different styles of music - folky, pop, rap, soul, rock and grunge. And Weird Al nails every single one. A superb musician, singer and arranger. This man should be huge here in the UK but for some reason, he's not. I don't know why.
Release Date July 14, 2003
I was pointed in the direction of this movie by a friend of mine. I laughed so hard all the way through. Weird Al, is now in sole charge of a T.V station. and while things don't go so smoothly (even his girlfriend breaks up with him) there are laughs a plenty along the way. Of worthy note is Kevin McCarthy, briiliant as the owner of a rival T.V station who will stop at nothing to close Al's little operation. Laughs a plenty ensure there is never a dull moment Brilliant!

me and my boyfriend have only just finished watching this and i still can't decide whether i liked it or not. It's a very disturbing film and i never thought i'd want to watch Nicole Kidman in such a horrible part, but she does it well, and hats off to Alec Baldwin who shows he can really play any character, even if it's twisted surgeon. i wouldn't give it a high mark, but maybe if i saw it again i'd enjoy it more, but then again, there are so many good films out there to see i'm not sure if i'd have time!lol
Release Date May 20, 2008
I saw this back in 2005 when it first aired and I was absolutely amazed by it. Tennant was chilling as Brendan Block and nothing at all like 'The Doctor' he is so well-known for portraying. His character is a genuine bad guy and Tennant shows exactly why he is such a good actor. Kate Ashfield is also brilliant and even reduced me to tears at certain points.
It's great to see this finally released on DVD, 3 years after its air date, and it is a must-buy for anyone. One of the best dramas ever shown by ITV.

This is a fantastic movie. Whoopi Goldberg stars as a widow (Sarah Mathews) who decided to have a child following her husband's death with the help of the sperm bank, so that she will not be lonely. Years later her daughter, Nia Long ( Zora Mathews) discovers that her 'dead father Charlie' was not her father and on further discussion with her mum realizes that she was conceived with the help of the sperm bank. She decides to find her father and owing to a computer mix up, she identifies Hal (Ted Danson's character) as her father. Things were initially tense with all them getting used to the idea of Hal being her dad, with hilarious consequences. Just when they thought they had gotten used to the idea of all them being a family, a new blood test reveals ... Read More:

Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr complement each other well in this simple comedy. it's not meant to be serious or tell a story, it's just there to make you feel good. together they bring off some great laughs.
Release Date October 22, 2001
This movie was filmed in the spring of 1999, starring Courteney Cox and her husband David Arquette, with David James Elliott as the other man in the film's romantic triangle. DJE plays Michael, the hunky next door neighbour, who becomes the object of Cox's character's desires.
If your a real fan of Monica from Friends, then this is where Courteney Cox delivers.
