I watched this film as a child, then as an adult, and it always amazes me. Another truly heart warming Christmas film! Richard Attenborough portrays a wonderful Santa Claus, with his remarkable acting skills! It does not matter what age you are with this movie, old or young, it will warm your heart at Christmas time, with a few laughs along the way.

I have watched this film many, many times over the years and it's still as great as the first time I watched it. A superstar cast brings with it quality acting and a superb script. Don't think I've ever watched it without crying, so if you're a Steel Magnolias virgin, or coming back to it for a repeat viewing - be sure to have the tissues at the ready....
It also has one of my all-time favourite quotes, which is something I live by...
"I'd rather have one moment of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special" - simply beautiful!
Obviously if you like your no-brainer action car-chase movies, this isn't for you. If you want a simple story of lives and friendships, beautifully written and flawless performances, with depth and ... Read More:

Police inspector Frank Horrigan (Eastwood) is set an assignment to track down a man who claims he will assassinate the President of the United States.
Wolfgang Peterson (Air Force one) directs a fine established crime thriller in a year where a certain John Malkovich starred as a certain Mitch Leary.
The main watching point for this film is Malkovich. The silence and emotion behind this character is a reflection on how the past can change a person. Malkovich's sophisticated attitude towards the protagonist is a thing of beauty. His evilness is understandable and he even outclasses Eastwood, which is no easy thing to achieve. His Oscar nominated turn as the man who wants the President murdered is a sure fire way to get you hooked ... Read More:

I did not enjoy this movie. The acting, especially from Kristin Stewart (the lead) was wooden at best, and her character was very unsympathetic. A boring, predictable movie with seemingly little plot.
The whole concept is so overdone - family moves to haunted looking house - and guess what; it's haunted! There was nothing original or interesting here that I could see.
'The Messengers' also left me wondering why the ghosts attacked people, as it made absolutely no sense.
I went to see this movie actually quite looking forward to it - but was sorely dissapointed. Go watch something else instead!

When the chillies in a spice shop get more on screen attention than the leading man in a romance, you've got youself big, big problems. Here are just a few:
She's not allowed to touch a human... SHE'S RUBBING HER COUSIN'S HAND 5 MINUTES IN!
Does every Indian now living in San Francisco have a history blighted by parricide!?
When a film relies on over 50% of it's dialogue through the source of spoken thought it is corrupt of imagination.
On a more general note: Mistress of the Spices is a poor story poorly told. It's cliche ridden; the dialogue is shocking; the acting is unconvincing and the directing woefully one dimensional. Aishwarya Rai does indeed have stunning eyes - but does the camera really need ... Read More:

This is a constantly witty and enjoyable film to watch.Matthew Perry falls in love with Neve Campbell but she has been told Perry is gay and wishes he wasn't.Perry is unable to tell her he is really heterosexual
(he is an architect and a new contract depends on him maintaining his pretence to be gay).Perry's own friends start to believe he is homosexual.
Lots of gentle, well thought out humour and decent dialogue and acting.
No bonus features - just a trailer for the film.

This movie was supposed to be a romantic comedy but failed in both the romance and comedy departments. And the film set actually annoyed me: the futuristic restaurant was so gaudy and unnatural looking that it hurt my eyes. The make-up people succeeded in making Sarah Jessica Parker look plain ugly (I usually find her very easy on the eye)and if there intention was to make her look like some sort of funny caracature of a woman,
they failed miserably. One of the worst films I have seen in years considering the quality of many of the actors in it.
