I'm not sure why as it certainly dons't appeal to me but my son - just turned two - will sit and watch this constantly if you let him!
He finds it hilarious - he also has a blanket like Elmo and has taken to kissing it 'like Elmo' and can recite most of what Elmo says.
He had never watched Elmo before this but it still appeals.

Having stumbled upon this DVD while looking through the comedy section on Amazon, I decided to buy it based upon the sheer number of 5 star ratings, accompanying reviews and based upon the inclusion of Bill Murray (I'm a big fan) in the cast list. Before buying, I'd never actually watched the film.

It was for the first time therefore that I watched it tonight, eagerly expecting an incredibly funny film. Perhaps it says something about the kind of comedy I usually like but I didn't actually enjoy this film a great deal. Please don't get me wrong because it was funny in parts (hence the 2 stars), I just didn't feel the film was worth buying. I say this knowing that I will more than likely never watch the film again. Some great memories in here, however the DVDs only have a couple of the original complete shows on, not the complete series of shows. I think this is a little misleading on the website, Still, if you are of the generation that grew up watching seasame street, or just want to brain wash your kids with it...its well worth a watch just to see the classic 'pinball' animation again.

The stupid north american version had alot of cut scenes and well being that this is one of my fav xmas specials I didnt want to pay 50$ for a crappy dvd, so I bought it here...This is one of the first xmas specials I remember watching as a kid so it holds special meaning, but the greatest thing about this xmas special is that its funnier now that I get the adult humor...
