Even allowing for their age, they totally lost the plot, and the scriptwriter, in the 3rd film, which simply should never have been made.Plus while they were funny at the time, the humour is now warm rather than laugh out loud, so three stars it gets, which is by no means a poor score.There aint nothing wrong with warm.

This is a good adaptation from the book. After watching "Evil under the Sun" and "Appointment with Death" you naturally think of Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot. The whole movie is packed with great actors, yet even thought you recognize them they do not distract from the characters that they play.

I thought that it was a nice touch when the kids along the shore mooned Mrs. Van Schuyler (Bette Davis) as kids would do everywhere.

Simon (Simon MacCorkindale) and his new bride Linnet (Lois Chiles) are being perused by Jacqueline De Bellefort (Mia Farrow) the girl he jilted. Paul Newman died yesterday, and I watched 'Cool Hand Luke' in his memory. Paul liked to think he was an ordinary guy. He played ordinary guys in his films, and he hung around ordinary people. The difference is that Paul Newman knew his own mind and no one could push him. That is the kind of character that Paul Newman best portrayed.

Luke Jackson was a war hero, who may have suffered from PTSD. Certainly Luke did not want to face his demons, he did not like people, he did not want to be anyone's hero; he wanted to go his own way. Damn those people anyway.

This is a fantastic film. It shows both sides of the story as much as any movie can. It shows the greedy Americans and the sick cruel Saddam regime.

What strikes me the most is how, I guess you could call them 'politically correct' reviewers, have come here talking about this being an "anti-war film" or a statement against America. In my opinion these individuals only pay attention to what suits their point of view. This film shows both sides; the helplessness of the Iraqi civilians being slaughtered by Saddam's army, and the American government's greed for oil which means they readily abandon the Iraqi people after promising to back them in their rise against Saddam.
