It's such a shame that this series, bar a couple of episodes failed to live up to the high standards of 1 and 2. Completely agree with the reviewer whose first impulse was to buy this then realised that it wouldn't be watched and would be money wasted. Shame about the writers strike...shame about the prison and coma themes running too long. Understandably, most shows need some kind of re-inventing, and fresh character arcs to keep the interest up. I loved this show but sadly it feels that Earls creative sponge has been wrung dry. Although I would love for them to prove me wrong. Maybe doing a 4th series knowing before time it will be the last, could help the writers and producers end Earl with a high quality big bang.

the first 20 minutes of this film is mind blowing with the d-day beach landings where the soldiers just run into artillery fire and bombs it's so realistic it's frightning.
but then the action slows down has we follow the rescue mission , the cast all perform brilliantly and the "master" mr spielberg keeps us entertained throughout the journey but after the start to the film any other action scene's will obviously dissapoint.this film is a must buy for all war film fans just for the brutal battle scene's alone.

when this was on TV i missed a lot of the episodes and the only one i saw was the last episode so i decided to buy this for myself and i could not believe what i had missed. when i asked my friend if he had seen it he said yes and we both loved it. when i saw this i was not dissapointed.So if you like a comedy that's full of laughs this is for you.

Ive seen the original and ive watched this one countless times and what can i say but the remake is so much better! The cars, the story, the cast are all phenominal. Nick cage plays a blinder as a retired car theif brought out from retirement to aid his dimwitted brother secure cars for a pre doctor who cristopher ecclestons british baddie!

The chase scenes are great to watch the cars are good to look at angelina jolie is just the cherry on the cake! even vinne jones plays a lovable character!

This film is all about speed and fast cars, its a great film that can be enjoyed over and over again!

I'm shocked! The reviews of this are really surprising, to say the least. The moment I started watching this movie I was drawn in and couldn't get out even after the movie was finished.

And usually, a movie with as simplistic a plot as this wouldn't interest me greatly, but this is an unusual movie in its presentation and in the character portrayal. The film itself is basically a study of a romantic relationship between two less-than-happy individuals, both of whom meet in a world vastly different from their own. We are forced to see the lonesome atmosphere in the characters as they sit alone in their respective hotel rooms and also in the desolate neon Tokyo scenery.

You're trapped in a shameless parody of Mad Max slash epic western and Kevin Costner's driving he won't even let you stop for a toilet break. The only reason you are watching is because someone has broken your arms and legs and for good measure sewn your eyes open. Yes you guessed its The Postman!! Never in the history of having the choice of watching this or being violently hacked to bits did you choose the wrong option. My favourite example is the bit where Costner rides out of the Mist heroically a look of steely determination on his face as if he was escaping the demons of Hades all shot in glorious slow motion. I'd heard a fair bit about this film since it came out quite a few years ago, and finally I got my hands on a copy of it and this didn't disappoint. With great performances from Giovanni Ribisi, Ben Affleck and Vin Diesel, a great story, a really good old school hip hop soundtrack and very well filmed this has to be seen as a modern classic. Based around the illegal stockbroking business this film plays out like a gangster movie without actually being a gangster movie. By this I mean it is similar in the way it is about organised crime and we follow the rise of the central character(Ribisi) from a nobody who makes a bit of cash setting up illegal poker games to becoming the pinnacle of the illegal stockbroking business. A typical jerry bruckheimer no brains all action film, anyone who likes either fast cars or nick cage will like this.
The blueray its self is very good quality with bright,vibrant and sharp picture quality and excellent sound to boot, the disc is only let down by its limited extra features. If you havn't already got this on dvd then this is certainly worth a look.

Well..... I watched this movie around 6 years back the first time and I enjoyed every bit of it. The songs in it take you back down memory lane when Rock n Roll was a craze... Not that it has lost its charm....When I bought this film on DVD it has been right it front of my DVD collection...

I really enjoyed this film and perhaps only slightly let down by its rather bizarre and possibly implausible ending. Beautifully shot and great performances from the two leads. It was refreshing to see a more vulnerable and endearing performance from Ribisi, Blanchett is very well cast and convincing as the avengeful school teacher.
This is part of a trilogy of films but I think this can be enjoyed standalone and holds very well itself. I would definately recommend this!!!!
