This film is NOTHING like the book, i was so looking forward to watching it but after watching 45mins off it, i switched it off it was that bad, and if i had ever watched the film then i would of never of read the book!! stick with the book because watching this film really does ruin it, shame the diector knew nothing about that book, did he even read the book?? because it was nothing like it!!!!

Nice collection. All shows included, the original movie, and a couple of "Extras" DVD's.
However, it is important for you to know that the MEGASet comes in a large binding book. All the DVD's are pushed into cardboard slots (a lot like the coin collector books). This means if you take the DVD's out a lot they are going to get scratched - EVEN If you are careful.
I have a soft, CD carrier that works very much the same, and I'm meticulous about not putting pressure on it. Still my CD's have gotten marred over the years using this.
If the DVD's were mounted on a spindle holder (like a normal case) this would be much much better. There is a reason that design was chosen, it protects the product.

This is a really good film in all aspects. If you watch it simply as a very well produced film version of a fictional book, it is great to sit back and admire the quality of the work.
Some reviewers however do appear to have been misled into believing that the plot in some way matches the facts of the actual events of the famous Stopes trial. This is the fault of the book and misleading information over the years rather than the film per se, although there is no more attempt to inform the viewer of the film of this than there is the reader of the original play. if you have any doubt about the disparity between this fiction and the facts, watch the film, research the details of the actual people involved and read the genuine trial ... Paul Newman died yesterday, and I watched 'Cool Hand Luke' in his memory. Paul liked to think he was an ordinary guy. He played ordinary guys in his films, and he hung around ordinary people. The difference is that Paul Newman knew his own mind and no one could push him. That is the kind of character that Paul Newman best portrayed.
Luke Jackson was a war hero, who may have suffered from PTSD. Certainly Luke did not want to face his demons, he did not like people, he did not want to be anyone's hero; he wanted to go his own way. Damn those people anyway.
Luke was caught drunk removing the top of parking meters and sentenced to two years in a southern chain gang. Sounds like Hell and it ... Read More:

Season 11 of M*A*S*H is the perfect ending to a brilliant television show, Season 11 really wraps up how the 4077th bonds of friendship, continue to show through the Murkey, Muddy Green Mobile*Army*Surgical*Hospital tents; even though they are stuck in a Korean War Zone, the bonds that have been made will continue long into the future. All in all M*A*S*H was my favorite TV series when I was growing up and its such a joy to be able to own them on DVD and watch them whenever I want to, this season holds 3 DVD's and the 3rd DVD is the final Episode on its own and is a FULL episode no cuts.., its nice to see that they havent had to cut it back to fit it onto one of the other DVD's. Alan Alda has always been my favourite Actor and Hawkeye is my favourite character ... Read More:

Already into its 9th year and still going strong. The main characters Hawkeye, B.J, Charles, Margarat, Sherman and Klinger pull together to create some of the greatest comedy moments of all time, and also one or two very thoughtful moments. Hawkeye at his best with a vintage bottle of wine that seems him "Had" by the entire nursing staff is offset by B.J's desperate attempt to prevent a soldier with children back in the states dying on Christmas day.

Just have to balance these other reviews, because I bought this to add to my collection and was very disappointed. Nothing at all special here.

MASH's fifth season would probably get my vote as the finest of them all. Seasons 2, 3, 4 and 6 run it very close, but pound for pound the episodes in Season 5 are stronger than any other, with only one stinker (the ghastly 'Exorcism') blotting the creators' collective copybooks.
No doubt MASH devotees will be getting this DVD anyway (though their loyalty may be stretched when it comes to the very weak later years) but casual purchasers should buy it for no other reason than it contains 'Dear Sigmund', the greatest ever MASH episode. The arrival of Sidney Freedman in camp always indicated high quality - see 'Deal Me Out' in 2, 'War of Nerves' in 6 and 'The Billfold Syndrome' in 7 for other great Freedman episodes - but 'Dear Sigmund' beats them all. Release Date April 17, 2006
Season 10 is the penultimate season of MASH but it shows no sign of weariness, if anything, it is one of the best. The subjects cover with range of topics from racial prejudice to toothache and are all dealt with in the usual way of juxtapositioning humour with pathos in its purest form. Alan Alda's influence is clear but at no time does it dominate. For seasoned MASH fans and for those new to the series this is a treasure to be delighted in again and again and again.
Release Date June 14, 2004
Season 4 (along with all the other series released so far) are pure genius, and a kind of humour which has all but died out.
