Anyone who is a fan of the timeless, majestic, Frank L.Baum classic 'The Wizard of Oz' should see this. Where the wonderful Musical 'Wicked' only undermines the positive feelings we have for 'Oz' - Tin man re-inforces just how good the original 70 year old (?) Classic film is. This remake combines disappointingly poor direction from Englishman Nick Willing, who seems completely divorced from the original story; an appaling script from Sickle & Mitchell (may namesake!); and a completely cardboard lead from Zooey Deschanel supported by a convincingly awful Allan Cumming - who proves once and for all his Tony's are about being in the right place at the right time. This well made for TV mini-series Directed by Nick Willing will hold your attention from the beginning. All the actors were well chosen and Zooey Deschanel as DG will enchant you. At first it seems like any other contemporary contrived script that was just using a snappy title. Then you think this is Smallville and where is Clark? Then slowly the story unfolds and before you realize hat has happened you are caught up in the intrigue of a complex story with all of the elements found in Frank Baum's original story but actually better designed. The film, even though being promoted as the darker side of OZ, in reality is just a little more down to earth or up in the sky fari tale.

I like Scary Movie 2 but it really sick and grucesome. Some scenes are so gross, I felt sick. WARNING IF YOU DON'T LIKE GURCESOME AND SICK AND OTHER THAN DON'T WATCH SCARY MOVIE 2, WATCH HE OTHER THREE NOT 2. I also hope that Scary movie 5 is the best out of the all 4. I think.

A local television station introduced me to this charming film. They had purchased a package of films produced by The Rank Organization and threw them on at all hours, with a particular fondness for four-in-the-morning airings. Given to occasional bouts of insomnia, I became familiar with the CARRY-ON films and the DOCTOR films, and non-series items like this one.

The first thing to be made clear is that Julie Christie is NOT the "fast lady" of the title. THAT is a vintage car that almost runs down non-driver Stanley Baxter. Don't get me wrong. I love Gregg Araki. I love, love Gregg Araki. This film does not do his work justice. It appears he was given a far too substantial budget and decided that with this budget he would creative a vomitingly, colourful wasteland that we cannot identify with at all. The script isn't very good and it doesn't capture any empathy with the audience and the teenagers. Not only this, but it is really confusing, and I lost my interest shortly into the beginning.

Basically, the story covers a day of truancy from school for a group of teenagers. During this day the teenagers experience substance abuse, "free love", alien abduction and the occasional brush with crime. The acting is impressive at points, but it is very difficult to watch ... Read More:
