Dawson's Creek is for anyone from the ages of 13 to mid 30's it has a great cast, its 1 of those series that once you watch one episode you want to watch back to back, then you find its 3am and your suppose to be up in 2 hours time for school/work (i have done this many of time with this programme)
The title of my review basically is a core issue throughout the 6 seasons but it is a funny line in the very last episode (very well written).
Season 1 - Introduces the 4 main characters - Dawson Leery - (James Van Der Beek) Naive, innocent, perfect family - wants to be a film maker. Joey Potter (Katie Holmes) - The girl from the wrong side of the Creek, the tomboy, the saracastic one, the brunette. Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson - Becomes ... Read More:

A great film that looks far sharper on Blu-ray than upscaled DVD. Some of the night scenes lack a little depth but it's not a major problem and doesn't spoil anything. Overall it's a great film with an excellent transfer, plenty of interesting extras, and great performances to boot.

Jason Reitman should be pleased as punch with his superb directorial debut about a spokesman working for the American tobacco industry. The script simply bursts with wit, rich dialogue and snappy satirical shifts and it is anchored by a fabulous performance from the excellent Aaron Eckhart as Nick Naylor, a disarming spin doctor who defends his amoral employers against the most damning of odds.
I hugely enjoyed this film and it is piercingly funny in places, often cutting quite close to the bone. As morally ambiguous as Naylor is, Eckhart plays him with such consummate charm that you almost find yourself cheering him on, as he campaigns for people's right to smoke (incidentally, the film has some very insightful things to say about free speech and our right to ... This Batman film just shows that the who idea still works. Quite frankly, after the Michael Keaton/Val Kilmer/George Clooney efforts I was beginning to have my doubts.
Sure, there are one or two places where this film may be a bit slow, but on the whole I think that even those patches serve the purpose of explaining how Batman became Batman ... i.e. why the Bat bit. As always the gadgets are brilliant, the one liners excellently delivered and Batman's escapes truly unbelievable - in other words a proper Batman film!
Christian Bale is excellent as Batman, and Michael Caine just about perfect in the role as Alfred the butler - in fact, when I win the lottery and have to hire my own butler Michael Caine will be top of my list of candidates!!

Joel Schumacher shot this great little movie in 28 days on a tiny budget. It is a fantastic story that keeps the viewer glued to the screen. The director takes pains at the beginning of the film to paint Farrell's character as a lying, manipulative self-centered lowlife. The director breaks with the stereotypical formula in which the killer's victims are innocents who draw the audiences' sympathy, by painting Farrell as a cheating worm, Schumacher cleverly inverts the formula so that the audience actually enjoys watching the victim squirm. This is exciting movie making on a basic level.

Despite all the five star reviews, this is not the best season of the DVD release of The Creek. I can only guess that many of these reviews were written by people who have only seen the on-air show - which is different to the English language version in the DVD set ! Yes I know that sounds complicated and it is ! The change from the wonderful scripts of seasons one and two to a much less sophisticated approach is true for both on-air and dvd. However the contractual issues by which the music on the English language version of the DVD is different from that of the actual broadcast programmes means that you have a sub standard DVD release for Season 3. Ironically, if you listen to the French language version of Season three on the DVD you will hear the original theme music and also much ... Read More:

Although i hav not brought the item i have seen the finale and it is well worth the time and tears to watch. But i would like to point out one flaw, it was not aired in 1998, it was well after this time.

Dawon's Creek was a great show and i think it was the first of its kind. You see The OC and One Tree Hill on tv now and really they both came from Dawson's Creek because this was the first great teenage drama.
The sixth series sees the appearance of a few new characters including Eddie (joey's other half) who i found to be a good character and a good boyfriend for her because he let her escape into a relationship which didn't have the problems of her relationships with pacey and dawson in it. Emma the british roommate was great - although her accent was bad at times, she was fun. Jen's boyfriend CJ and Jack's boyfriend David were great characters to add as well and saw them both in happy relationships.
This series also saw Audrey have a bigger storyline and one that i thought suited her character. ... Read More:

Many people complain about season five and it's apparent "amensia" to the Joey/Pacey relationship. These two had the longest, most intense, and most romantic relationship of the series, and though they broke it off in late season four, there should have been some acknoweldgement of their relationship here.
One good thing was that Pacey got back some confidence. It's refreshing to see him joking around again, after they put him in a downward spiral the end of the last season. Pacey (Josh Jackson) continues to outshine the title character in every way, with more charm and charisma, better lines, and better looks.
On another note, I think the writers did a very poor job this season. They tried to stress the "great" Dawson/Joey thing, about how their relationship was so "deep" and "complicated". ... Read More:
