From Here To Eternity [1953]

starring: Burt Lancaster, Montgomery Clift, Deborah Kerr, Donna Reed, Frank Sinatra
directed by: Fred Zinnemann

Release Date January 14, 2002

Merle Travis - Rare Performances 1946-1981 [1994]

starring: Merle Travis

Release Date October 01, 2001
This DVD is really bought by guitar pickers ie Chet Akins style players, just to see the man play, but what we get is also a very entertaining biography particuarly Merles' song writing ability, old footage maybe and obviously dated but to hear Merle talk of Chet Atkins in his usual teasing manner and on top of this the finale is awsome!!Thom Bresch(Merles son)duetting in the studio is fantastic, particuarly after a finger ripping duet, Merle turns to Thom, who was pleased with his input-and says"not quite how I showed yu,but it'll do"this from a 70+ year old is enough to bring a tear to ones eye. If you want guitar pickin'(probably at its best) and be entertained BUY IT!!)
