Lets face it for those of you who have ever read anything about Joan Crawford then you will know that she was a very strict mother, she was under a lot of pressure to keep her carreer going and Cristina was a handful, from what I have read and I have read quite a lot about Crawford then I would say 60% of this film is true, though it was filmed and screenplayed for dramatic efect, if you have ever read the book Mommie Dearest it is nowere near as scathing as the film script was written, however if you bear this in mind then the film is very entertaining. My wife suggested this movie while browsing in the local video store mainly because of her fascination for all things Brosnan whom she has liked since she first saw Remington Steele.

Very reminiscent at the outset of Blown Away, the premise suggests that the US, so long immune from terrorist threat, may be subject to internal terroism. As the plot proceeds, one is reminded of the storyline of Die Hard where a supposed terrorist is nothing but a robber.

The best place for this film is in your memories if you ever saw it on TV all those years ago. To say it hasn't aged well is the biggest understatement since " Joan Rivers looks like she may have had a little cosmetic surgery"
It is frenetic American sub humour of the Mel Brooks mode. Lots of hammy gurning, running around and if the joke is not funny shout a lot to make it funny.
I remembered seeing this on TV and thought it was OK, but that was a long time ago and it just grates now. All those star cameos and it can't lift it up to mediocre.
Airplne raised the bar, this tried to crawl under it. Avoid, even at the cheap price the next stop from your dvd player will be the bin
