It's nice DVD with 3 nice stories, but they are NEW!!! I was expecting the classic old cartoons, and was quite disappointed when I saw there were none in this DVD.
If you are up to new exciting stories, this is a DVD for you, but if you are looking for the old classics, then look for something else!

I LOVE this movie!! It was one of the first Disney christmasmovies I`ve ever bought, and I watch it several times every year.
My favorite is "Mickeys christmas carol", it`s just the ultimate christmas movie. When Scrooge wakes up on christmas morning, takes a walk around saying merry christmas to everyone, and in the end where he delivers lots of gifts and food for poor Bob`s family, it`s awesome... :) I`m not that big a fan of the build-up around these short movies, mixing the new clubhouse stuff with old classics, but that`s such a tiny, tiny little piece of this, and it`s not THAT bad. "Pluto`s christmas tree" and "The Nutcracker" are also great classics. I think your inner child has to be well dead and buried ;) if you don`t like them just ... Read More:

I can't recommened this DVD boxset enough, it is a superb package for all Simpsons fans.
The first season may not have been the best but there was a great moments and you really could see why the Simpsons became so popular. The second season was however, even better and here you can own the eps to laugh out loud to over and over.
The package of the DVD sets are fantastic with so many bonus features to keep you entertained for hours.
I recommened this to everyone who has a passion for the greatest cartoon series of all time but be warned, this is a package of which you find yourself playing again and again.

Loved it. Got it by accident a few years ago, watched it again last night for the first time in a year with the kids ( 8 5 and 3) and everyone enjoyed it. Stylish animation from Matt Groening...catchy tunes from Michael Stipe (including the lovely opening song "I love Valentine's Day and the 4th of July, I feel a little bit bad when Halloween has gone by..." it's just a great heartwarming story for all the family. And makes a change from all the other Christmas dross on TV. If you have kids, or even if you don't, go and buy it. Now....Go.

I've loved the Simpson's since the first time it was broadcast many many moons ago, and have watched it evolve from being the average American family, to what is now a series of episodes were the producers have just tried too hard. I received the first edition of The Simpson's Christmas a few years ago as a present and was made up with it - classic, varied episodes. Unfortunately with vol.2, this trend doesn't follow, because its 4 'new' episodes (post 1999, when the producing team changed) that are just too wacky and un-real.
I know The Simpsons is a cartoon and that it shouldn't have to be lifelike. But it has become a cause for outrageous events happening that don't make sense, or simply aren't funny. And then their are jokes that only Americans will find ... Read More:

When it comes to Halloween episodes the big three are "Roseanne," "The Simpsons" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (although "BtVS" was always an every other year deal). You would think that the producers of these shows would have figured out that offering an alternative to splatter flicks as what to watch on October 31st that video/DVD packages of classic Halloween episodes would be an obvious choice. But you have to pick up seasons 2 and 4 (and wait for 6) of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," catch "Roseanne" in syndication, and deal with this limited offering from "The Simpsons." It is not often that you come across a DVD that could have increased its average rating by a star if it just had "Volume 1" as part of the title.
Actually, this really should be "Volume ... Read More:

I received this DVD today, excited about the special features for my younger sister's sake - and I have to say I was disappointed. The three deleted songs may amuse kids but they aren't fully animated - just the storyboards without even any colour. The alternate ending is very short and again, only half finished. I expected much more of the behind the scenes featurette, but finding that it was only a couple of minutes long and only about Chrissie Hynde and Bruce Willis and their scene where the leopard meets Spike, I wondered if I had a wrong version of this DVD where the rest was missing.
The film on the other hand is great, a wonderful adventure combining the Rugrats and the Wild Thornberrys. Highly enjoyable. I just thought the special features needed a review.

There are many Simpsons DVDs and Videos, but there isn't one devoted entirely to christmas episodes!
Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire-The first ever episode! After money problems within the family, Homer makes a last-minuite attempt to make Christmas magical.
Mr. Plow-Probably the best episode on the DVD! Homer buys a snowplow truck and starts a buisness, only to be pushed aside by Barney and his "Plow King" firm.
Miracle On Evergreen Terrace-After Bart accidentaly burns the Christmas Tree, Springfield pity the Simpsons and give them $15,000. They are less pitiful when they find it's a scam...
Grift Of The Magi-When Fat Tony cons the school out of $200,000, Principal Skinner hands the school over to Kid First Industries, which is run by ... Read More:
