I wouldn't recommend this film to anyone under the age of 10. It is a great kids film - younger ones may not get the full plot but still have fun with it. Older ones will find it silly. There are some funny scenarios but as with most American movies, there is a moral. If you can get past that, it is quite entertaining and the acting is fairly good too.

This is the sort of film you can really get into, the plot is credible and the story is both enjoyable and fun in its entirety. The film has an extensive cast and as a result is fatastic in its portrayal of such a comming of age plot.

The mixture of its characters provides that locve hate balence thats ned to make a film like this a classic, the happy ending just isnt enough you have to triumph in your acheivements and that is something this film certainly does!

I really enjoyed this film, there's a good variety of drama depicted here, you have a guy who's got a gambling problem (Keanu Reeves), a bunch of kids who are looking for something fun and exciting to do rather than staying at home in a rough neighbourhood, little league baseball is where they all find a common ground and a way to escape their normal everyday lives.

There's some good honest humour, various stories that are well entwined, the film is put together very well, there's a real feel good factor going on, good music and some fine performances both from the adults (Keanu Reeves and Diane Lane) and all of the kids are great too.

Upon arrival of this product from the USA i took it out of the wrapping and put it into my UK DVD player. I was concerned that it wouldn't play but i found that it played just as you would expect a normal DVD to play. I cannot guarantee that this will work for everybody buying a USA DVD and playing it on a UK DVD player but i thought as i was only paying £5.00 it wasn't a massive lose. So i recommened to people worried about buying USA DVDS and playing them on UK DVD players to take a chance with this. Also i will add this isn't the first time i have bought a DVD from a different country i purchased a DVD from Australia and found that it played in the UK so actually you don't need a multi region DVD player.

Someone said on another site that it killed WCW, well that is nonsense.
A great little movie, even better with Bill Goldberg shining in it.
Yes; I am a big fan of "The Man".

The Perfect Score [2004]

The Perfect Score was once described as 'a college version of Oceans 11' and I think thats just about spot on.

The film hits the ground running with a good musical score and never seems to drop into a 15 minute 'lull'where you start to think about turning the film off. So many films drift off and therefore make you drift off too.

Its simple without patronising you. Entertaining. Better than the over-rated American Pie/Road Trip bore-fests. Yes, a little predictable but we all love to be right when it comes to guessing the ending beforehand.

I would watch this DVD again, and have lent it to friends who enjoyed it too.

- 48 Hours and BHills Cop aren't my cup-of-tea but are classic Murphy
- NORBIT is far and away the closest to 'Donkey' that Eddie Murphy has come to (and that says something considering he voiced 'Donkey' in the Shrek films - which were great!)
If you like Eddie Murphy and are wondering whether to watch Norbit - don't! - watch COMING TO AMERICA and watch it again and again - just do not watch Norbit! I laughed once, maybe twice (whence 2 stars instead of 1 - I don't hate it but I definately don't like it!), but that was at the situation, not at the characters: Norbit is a muppet (actually, no, that's degrading to the Muppets!) ...
