After the intense action of the previous series, this season begins quite slowly. This season contains the Great Saiyaman and World Tournament story arcs, however, it takes a few episodes to get going. The first few episodes of season 7 see Goku protecting other-world from enemies of the past such as Frieza, cell and the Ginyu force and then participating in an other-world world tournament...however, before you get excited, these episodes are merely filler and are frankly quite rubbish. This is it: The 33 Episode long Frieza Saga, featuring Piccolo's return, Vegeta realising he is not the legendary "Super" Saiyan and Gohan coming of age, as well as tons of fighting against the seemingly invincible Frieza. The action takes place place on distant planet Namek, which is now almost devoid of life, due to events in Series Two but there are lots of scenes of King Kai's Planet with Tien, Yamcha and co (moreso than Season two happily) and Earth.

This is a very good saga, there are some great fights spread across the first two Discs as well as tons of characterisation with Vegeta. It falters slightly in Disc 3 which is 6 episodes of Frieza VS Goku, it doesn't get interesting until he begins to form the Spirit Bomb. Disc 4 ... Read More:

- The HD IS... WAW..... A 80'S CARTOON IS SOOO CRISP & CLEAR, They did A GREAT job on the picture

Like all other Dragonball Z season box set's this set is a MUST buy! It features THE Garlic JR, Trunks and Android sagas. That's 32 episodes on six discs! The DVD set also includes the English DUB with Japanese background music, Japanese and English Dub with US music (Soundtrack from Bruce Faulconer)
The DVD set still remains in its 16:9 format (widescreen)
A major disappointment to this box set is the lack of Re- Dub especially. At the start of the set Vegeta's voice had been Re-Dubbed (Garlic JR saga) but remained untouched from the Trunks saga and onwards) This would have to be the most noticeable voice change as his voice changes from deep to rather high pitched, so if you're a fan of Vegeta's deep voice then you are going to be very disappointed.... ... Unlike the previous Dragon ball Z movies, these movies actually have some relevance to the series. The main antagonist for the two movies is none other than Frieza's brother Cooler and These movies are set after Goku defeats Frieza in season 3. Cooler, desperate to uphold his family honour,vows to get revenge for his brothers defeat and hence attacks the Earth. this is okay but I honestly hate the dubbing which puts me off buying this DVD, you are a lot better off purchasing the FUNimation releases of the DVDs,

1, they're uncut, 2, Original Japanese version and 3! The dubbing in my opinion is actually decent!

More to the point, this movie is a good, its one of my favourite and I actually watched the garlic jr. saga in the tv series before the movie and I was like eh? but watching this movie made a lot of sense after all that, This movie is for the DBZ fans and is one of my favourites, Gohan urinates on krillans head and the fight is good.

If you want the best movies of DBZ you want this one, Return of Cooler, Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan and Rebirth of Fusion (note fusion is not released in English ... Read More:

i am a very commited DB fan and when i got these DVD's i thought it was pretty damn good! the voise changes were pretty bad .. but it kinda made it better because it was so damn funny!!! the only thing i found annoying was this whole "big green" thing .. not good. have you all heard about the DB live action movie .. apparently piccolo is going to be human!!! :o! NOOOOOO!!! also whats this deal with the whole region 1 NTSC dvd's because i want to buy some however im hesitating becuase i dont think it will work in my dvd player/television!

overall good though!

I can't find words to describe how mega awesome this movie is! However, I have to agree with Mr. I.J. Davis as it does take nearly half the movie before Vegeta (My favourite character as well) grows some saiyan balls and joins the fight. Still, bloody brilliant and worth all the time to watch. Other 2 aren't that great though...
