The Machine Girl [2007] (REGION 1) (NTSC)starring: Taro Suwa, Minase Yashiro, Asami, Kentaro Shimazu, Honoka Asami directed by: Noboru Iguchi, Iguchi Noboru Release Date June 03, 2008 When I ordered this film I knew what to expect, a low budget Japanese action film . That was exactly what I got and more , the acting is not going to win any awards and the flow of the plot is inconsistent . The special effects are standard fare and added in the "look this is cool" use of a home fx package. The "story" uses many clichés ( a ninja yakusa enemy ) and the Japanese schoolgirl. Despite all of the above , it works as pure entertainment and the above features add to the move rather than detract. I enjoyed this film and recommend it highly. |
