Originally bought these films on video as they were released for my older children and they have been long-term favourites with all the family - so much so that I am now looking to buy them on DVD as our video tapes have seen better days, plus video player also on its last legs. My kids are almost word-perfect on certain scenes of the films! Their laughter is often in anticipation of scenes to come! Have enjoyed all, though family consensus is the the first one is the best.

wow!so much better then the first film!for starts the characters act more like the orginal characters,Velma is more geeky,fred is less vein more matcho,Daphne is less like buffy the vampier slayer however she still has another fight scean!Daphne would never fight with a monster she would probabily get kidnapped by it.shaggy and scooby where excellent as they where in the first movie.the story is very good it makes me feel like im watching a classic scooby doo cartoon.a must for any scooby fan!

Nice easy to watch film, passes the time and a bit more. Drew Barrymore, I find, is sweet and appealing as an actress but never too much, can usually enjoy watching her, and that is the case here too. She carries the film along, and David Arquette is good fun as her brother. Enjoyable and with a happy ending but not too sweet, just.

So there I was, waiting for the movies to start, I mean I was seeing Scooby Doo THE MOVIE! with sarah-michelle gellar!! Woo Hoo. And then it started (with a slight cheer from the audience)and I was pleased, VERY PLEASED , i mean the movie was exactly what i could have hoped for! While there were somethings that didn't quite please me, this was a damn good film! For me I liked the t.v. show, but wasn't the biggest fan, and i could see that this film could please both, the effects were good, had good acting a good storyline, and the end is just SOOOO GREAT a complete classic! This is the most depressing, poorly made, insulting film "comedy" ever made. Twentieth Century Fox shot this in South Africa to save CASH and it's SO obvious. We are meant to think it's America still!! Home Alone was still a franchise they felt had a pulse and would bring in more cash from the deluded dozens who didn't ask for their money back (some of them posted favourable reviews here...either that or it's the production team trying to big this steaming pile up). This film kills the reputation of the first two which were actually rather good. Home Alone 3 is a disgrace, all in it obviously have a deep-seated contempt for the human race.

Dissapointing. The story was nowhere near as good as the cartoons. Also, the film tries too hard with special effects. Some of it was quite funny and Scooby and Shaggy were still funny. I felt Rowan Atkinson could have been more involved. A good family film but nothing on the cartoons

To be honest I had low expectations for this film and was just expecting a repeat of what we saw in Mrs Doubtfire but instead this is an absolutely hilarious dress-up comedy where Lawrence is in one of his best performances yet. Big Momma's House / Big Momma's House 2

Both films follow Martin Lawerence who plays an undercover cop who dressed up as "Big Momma" to infiltrate a criminal gang. The plots just an excuse to get dressed up as a big woman with a big heart, big personality and big views. Instead of going for gross out like Nutty Professor, here its more in the subtle things like catchphrases words and the body language and as a result some of the genius is missed first time round and I wasn't laughing out loud very much. However as with underplayed parts sometimes you'll enjoy it more second time around. There are one or two laugh out loud parts and the sequel for once isn't awful compared to the original so if you like one, you'll enjoy number two and the bonus features show how all the make ups done too.

The first two Home Alone films with "Kevin" are really enjoyable, and even the third film with "Alex" is hilarious fun. Definite recommendations for Christmas!
However the fourth film seems to be made by a completely different team with an absolutely terrible story, unconvincing script and acting. It completely ruins the collection so I would recommend only getting a set containing the first three films if possible and pretend the fourth one was never made!

I first saw this advertised at the cinema and could not wait for it to be released as it looked hilarious and I waited and waited but it never appeared at my cinema.Eventually, I managed to see it at a Saturday morning showing at my local cinema for kids long after the claimed release date but I have to say that the film was worth the wait!I won't bore you with the synopsis as it is told in full detail above but it was very funny in a similar way to Cheaper By The Dozen, another of my favourite movies and althought borrowing many jokes from CBTD it still had me laughing out loud! I strongly encourage you to give this great family movie a watch!You won't regret it!
