A really realistic view as how a man copes being left widowed with a young baby daughter...it has some funny bits (you know how men can be, sometimes!)but is all the more, a very toughing film, leaving you happy in the outcome.
A light-hearted film, great to watch on a night in.
Release Date September 22, 2003
I knew I liked this series when I bought it, I only found out how much after sitting through all 5 series. There is a good mix of comedy, realism (well almost) and some great surreal 'out-take' moments.
Forget your 'Freinds' unplug the phone relax and enjoy!

Saw this DVD in my local store and thought it looked like the sort of thing i'd enjoy (i like my horror!) and got it out. I really liked it. Story centres around, bunch of good-looking college kids on their way to spring break take a 'detour' and end up in the ironically named southern town of 'Pleasent Valley'. After initially welcoming the strangers into their small town by the seemingly hospitable if slightly strange inhabitants, who persuade them to stay and take part in their 'GUTS AND GLORY' festival, the group soon begin to suspect something is wrong as members of their party start to get separated from the rest and go missing. The best thing i liked about this film is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. Sure, the gore is fairly graphic ... Read More:

First time round on TV I thought it was good. We bought the box set on DVD, and second time round it strikes you how good all the series are. Quality casting and great writing. It is so much better than anything I have seen in TV dramas since. It can actually be funny enough to make you laugh out loud, and other times even make you cry.

Waking up in a hospital after a chemical accident, scientist Rich Stevens, (Mark Sawyer) learns from Dr. Atwill, (Tim Sullivan) that he has received a new set of eyes in a new transplant. Going home, he quickly becomes the prime suspect in a number of vicious murders, and friends Siodmak, (Jason Clark) and Androse, (Kurt Levi) eventually tell him that he is a werewolf. Confronting Dr. Atwill and his nurse Sondra Gard, (Stephanie Beaton) about the surgery, Sondra believes him and tries to help him with the struggle to rid himself of the curse.
The Good News: This wasn't all that bad and has some decent moments in it. The initial set-up and premise is one of the best ones available for this type of film. It's hard to actually come up with a nice and original ... Read More:

The Illustrious Client is one of the most shocking Holmes stories and I remember when I first read it the feeling of horror as Watson describes what has occurred. I doubted that television could provide the same sensation. However, Granada have produced a wonderful version of this story, with Anthony Valentine giving an excellent, understated performance as the villain, Baron Gruner. Edward Hardwicke is brilliant as Watson, having to deal with the threat to Holmes's life (without giving too much away) and his friend's insistence that he become an expert in Chinese pottery in 24 hours (don't ask!). This is a beautifully shot, atmospheric piece and the use of Don Giovanni as a background score was particularly inspired, especially at the end. Perfect for dreary winter ... Read More:
