This film is about seven old school friends who were stalked by an evil clown when they were kids. But thirty something years later the defeated monster comes back from god knows where to seek revenge. ThIs is where the story begins and the film becomes repetitive. You watch the crazy clown make seven personal and anti-social visits to each one of the characters, struck with terror each one of the seven characters thinks back thirty years to when they first saw the clown and how it could come back after so long, unfortunately the film takes you back with them to bore you with their boy scout childhoods. At this point it felt like i was watching a childrens adventure like the goonies not a horror film. And if that wasn't enough, you then get ... Read More:

This is a great film - very early '80s (best part of the best decade ever) , very dark and atmospheric , from the disturbing entrance theme onwards . I won't waste your time with a massive review , but this film shouldn't really carry the 'hallowed ween' name . They need to ditch the name of this one as being 'ween 3' and move 'ween 4' back to being ween 3 etc , etc you get the drift .. But as a standalone 80's horror , this is great , marvellous hamming-it-up and the snakes and creepy crawlies coming out of the masks still make me gag slightly to this day , good stuff !

The Vampires trilogy. Three loosely connected films. Well the first two are slightly connected, the third isn't really.
it started off with John Carpenter's Vampires. I'm a big fan of John Carpenter's films and was left slightly disappointed with Vampires. I think because of the idea of Carpenter doing a Vampire film got e so excited that when it turned out to be an average movie I couldn't help but feel slightly let down. Things start well. James Woods heads a vampire hunting team who track down nests of Vampires and kill them off along with the master vampire. The opening scenes of such a kill are really cool. Thrown into the mix is the fact that a priest accompanies them on these hunts. It turns out that he catholic church help fund ... Read More:

After watching the original John carpenter's Vampires I looked forward to checking out this film which has been billed as a Vampires II. There are tenious links to the original film although it has a new cast.
The film stars Jon Bon Jovi and who puts in an average performance. However, the story and more importantly visually this is a pretty awful film. Don't ask me what happened in the second half of the film as my mind was starting to wander. One of the problems with this film is IT ISN'T SCAREY! A big flaw for a horror film.
It's a shame that Carpenter's name is a associated with this film. It's only worth checking out if you're a Jon Bon Jovi fan. It's not surprising that this was a straight to DVD release.

I watched this film twice, and the first time I forward wound through the horror parts because I was on my own! This meant that it wasn't very effectively scary the second time I watched IT, but I still enjoyed the film... up to a point! The first half was great (people have said the acting was wooden but how old were all the actors? About 14! I thought it was pretty decent) but the second half...
The thing that bugged me was how the first half seemed to be the children, and the second half the adults. If the film knitted together the years much like the book does, then I would have liked it a lot more. I started to get fed up when the adults merely told stories about the past, rather than allowing us to view them.
Despite this, I really like this film. ... Read More:

Such a good series such a shame many of the great songs that featured in this show have been edited for copyright reasons - including the "Paint it black" theme.
The original soundtrack helped capture the mood and feeling of many of the themes of the show (the sixties, change, racism, drugs etc) and the resulting offering is left flat without them.
Please ammend this if it ever makes it to a region 2 release.
