I would give the DVD 5 star rating too. The program is awesome. Take That is in it's best form, and concert is wonderfully conceived.

I trained myself to perceive buying something I like on a Blu-ray, after I already have it on a DVD, as an upgrade and not double-dipping. As such, I expect it to actually BE an upgrade...

Unfortunately... it was lit for the in-house audience and not for cameras (at least not for cameras used to shoot this concert). Insufficient light leads to grain and grain is abundant here, there is a lot of blocking and it is obvious that there is something gravely wrong with the colors and contrast. I'm married but when we went to see Pink live in Nottingham me and my female friend both walked out and said she could "take" us down the other path if you get my drift (& not married herself).
She is an amazing show woman, she's sexy, daring, has an exquisite voice!!! Need I go on!!
I've seen the Try This and I'm Not Dead tours live and she just keeps getting better!!!
I've only just bought this and the Try This dvd (Jan 08) but I can't wait to watch them!!!! Enjoy!!

One of the first things we experience on this wonderful DVD is Katherine Jenkins' sense of humour, natural warmth, and un-diva-ish personality, which shine through the whole performance. And talk about pride in being Welsh! :-) Good for her! This DVD is a treat from beginning to end. Wonderful picture quality; super sound; and then there are Katherine Jenkins, Juan Diego Flórez, Serendipity, and the National Symphony Orchestra, all giving of their best. Fantastic!

For three of the Extras, just close your eyes and listen--the picture quality is truly abysmal, but that voice, that voice....

In the days where being talented is no longer a requisit to be a singer/songwriter, here is a total breath of fresh air from one of the most talented of them all, Paul Weller.
The prententious and talentless Robbie Williams should take a look at this DVD and apologise to everybody for the codswallop he has churned out.
Anyway back to the immensley talented Paul Weller, the DVD is a collection of four TV appearances, 3 live cuts and finishing with a TOTP section. Tracks include the brilliant You Do Something To Me, Changingman, Porcelain Gods, Broken Stones, From The Floorboards Up, Heavy Soul and from the Jam songbook In The City, Down The Tube Station and A Town Called Malice.
Its is absolutely excellent and I cannot speak to highly of it

I recommend this Blu-ray disc to all Celine Dion fans, but also to those who haven`t had the chance of getting to know her work on a closer level.

Not heard the VHS Video in a while but this is so much better! Sound quality not the best on a DVD but a vast improvement on VHS. More songs, about 20 mins extra and Bono hasn't yet learned his stage craft. The Edge looks very un-rockstar as does Adam with his curly hair, Larry looks like he's still in (primary) school and Bono has the most ridiculuous hairdo (even by his standards).

I could have done without Surrender & Seconds but the rest of the songs are storming, from Out of Control through to 40. This is a very loud DVD, so turn it up and destroy the neighbourhood! U2 when they were little!

Highwaymen Live [1990]

I was lucky enough to see The Highwaymen live in when they came to the UK, probably not long after this show was recorded and the show I saw was very similar to the one they did on the DVD. I have always been a huge fan of Willie Nelson and also like the others, but when you see them together you cannot believe you have 4 huge country stars on the same stage, singing together!. The DVD brought back many memories of one of the best live shows I have seen - and I have been to loads. The rapport between the guys is obvious, and regardless of what Willie says about 'all of us having ego's the size of a bus' what cmes over is a fantasic group of country singers doing what they do best.
