Not heard the VHS Video in a while but this is so much better! Sound quality not the best on a DVD but a vast improvement on VHS. More songs, about 20 mins extra and Bono hasn't yet learned his stage craft. The Edge looks very un-rockstar as does Adam with his curly hair, Larry looks like he's still in (primary) school and Bono has the most ridiculuous hairdo (even by his standards).
I could have done without Surrender & Seconds but the rest of the songs are storming, from Out of Control through to 40. This is a very loud DVD, so turn it up and destroy the neighbourhood! U2 when they were little!

Great ! Superb ! Fantastic ! I agree that picture could have been better, but music overcomes it all ! Something not seen. We in Croatia would say "prava festa" (true fiesta) for all of people in the venue: the musitians and the audience, and therefore all the people who watch it on DVD.... Really must have DVD.

pinks try this tour is not quite as good as the im not dead tour i think this is because the new songs on pinks im not dead album are so much popular that it just doesnt measure up pink is defeniently a rock godess and all should bow down in front of her feet pink goes to such lengths to make her fans happy that she gets suspended up in the air sings live and does acrobotics pink is a good exaple of an all rounder she can sing dance
and peforms infront of crowds fearlessly pink is definently a dedicated performer and nothing can stand in her way in this concert i absoulutedly luv luv luv pink with my life.

The reviews on this DVD seem to be from the Live Aid DVD available elsewhere. This DVD is "Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid", the Live Aid bit lasts around 15 minutes and is Queen's set in the afternoon and Brian and Freddie playing "Is this the world we created?", there are also the odd interview and some rehearsal footage here, these bits however should be seen as "extras", the main event is the 2 concerts filmed in Montreal in 1981.
Any one who is a Queen fan, probably has the "We Will Rock You" video or DVD, well this is the exact same film, but the quality in High Definition is astounding. The band apparently did not enjoy making this, they also did not own it, apparently they now do, and this HD DVD is a Queen Production. If ... Read More:

Is Slane the greatest concert film ever? Though this is for you and you alone to decide you'll be able to tell two minutes into the show when John Frusciante literally rips the Irish air into shreds. In the concert intro, Frusciante pulls some of the most awesome notes known to man from the strings of his electric guitar. It is absolutely unreal to watch and listen to what he can do with that guitar, as he takes his trademark sound to new heights and defines guitar heroics for you right in your own home. From here on in you know that you're in for a special treat. The Peppers display that even dudes well into their 40's are still capable of creating majik on stage on par with what they do in the studio. By the Way, which I've never found to be a strong track, ... Read More:

I am so disappointed by this dvd. I've seen Meat Loaf perform live over a dozen times & his voice just seems to go downhill every time.
I guess he's getting on a bit now, but I now wish he would retire gracefully, as this performance is painful to watch.
He struggles through virtually every song & his timing is way off. His fantastic backing band & backing vocalists try to mask his shortcomings, but it seems to just magnify his own woeful vocals!
The first time we played this DVD at home, we actually couldn't stand to listen to any more after the first half hour. Meat's contant straining & re-interpretation of the vocal harmonies & melodies are nowhere near as good as the original versions (let alone in tune) & ... Read More:

ok i think the title says it all, steve perry and the band deliver one of the greatest concerts of all time,no exploding guitars, no gimmicks ,no back screen just pure rock,so do yourself a favour and watch the greatest american band at the peak of their success, forget the new wave rock bands this was pure magic and for me perry had the finest voice in rock.

This DVD lives up to the high expectations of its title; it does indeed include a compilation of all the best Tina Turner live songs you could possibly hope to imagine, and what's more, they're chosen from several different tours, presumably by Tina herself, and so deliver to you the most exciting, energetic performances that she's done across the globe, not simply the most convenient nor from any one touring year. Therefore, you get favourites such as "I Can't Stand The Rain" from 1994, "River Deep Mountain High" from 1996, and "Private Dancer" from 2000. The songs chop and change between these three tours, with different members of the band, different stage constructions, and varying sized crowds, but the flow of songs is pleasing and the sequence blends seemlessly at all times, which ...
