i've loved the Jonathan creek series right from the beginning, Alan Davies plays such a good part, along with Caroline Quentin, they go together like bread and butter, the banter between them is so amusing, never quite getting together, this box set was a very good investment as i will have hours and hours of my fave viewing for years to come. the story lines have all been good, and i love the explanations at the end of each programme.

I am absolutely addicted to this version of Jane Eyre, having watched it another 4 times this last week alone! And I'm not ashamed to admit it either! It's perfect in every way and there's nothing left out of importance. O.K. it could have done with showing more of the young Jane at Lowood Institution, but it wasn't a necessity.
This tells the story of Jane Eyre, a poor, downtrodden girl who after becoming an orphan as a baby, is sent to live with her Aunt and Uncle and their children. The Uncle passes away and Jane is left to the cruelty of her Aunt and cousins. After 10 years of bad treatment, her Aunt sends her to Lowood School and turns her back on Jane. Jane stays at Lowood for eight years when she finally manages to escape by advertising ... Read More:

First, there's no question the absolute star of this movie is Marion Cotillard. She delivers a blistering performance more than worthy of the Oscar. The support actors and actresses too all play their part with conviction and honesty.
So why only one star?
The edit, the direction. But mostly the edit of the screenplay. This film jumps about across timeframes in a completely random way. So much so that it leaves the viewer wondering exactly what timeframe we are watching. Are we in 1925 or is this now 1959 and then, oh wait a moment, we're back in 1940.
It attempts to stell Piaf's remarkable story via a series of fleashbacks and flashforwards but the insubstantial direction and editing makes it hard to work out what we are ... Read More:

'21' is a good film looking at a group of college students who engage in a card counting 'scam' in Vegas. Based on true events you can't help but be impressed by the skill involved and very quickly you are drawn in to the idea and how they go about it. The performances are all pretty solid and this film is also well directed. This is one of those films you don't have to think too hard for and can just sit back and enjoy the ride. It's not earth shaking, but nor does it try to be. It's just a good film with an interesting idea and enough twists and turns to keep you engaged for the duration. Worth a look.

series 1 started off everything(makes sense)but seriously if it weren't for the success of this series then the show wouldn't have survived...thanks to the amazing writers and crew behind it and some fab actors.
eppy guide-
Rose-4/5-the start...and what a great start it is too...Billie Piper CAN act as the great Rose Tyler and the Autons are very creepy.
The end of the world-4/5-very good all round episode tht boasts some amazing visuals.
the unquiet dead-4/5-very scary episode with some terrifying zombies...and the doctor meets Charles Dickens.
Aliens of London-2/5-a decent episode but not fantastical...contains the infamous big ben crash scene...but not much else.
World War Three-2.5/5-slightly better but the Slitheen aren't the greatest looking aliens ... Read More:

This film took me back to being a child - I remember having the album and going to see it at the pictures. I bought it for my daughter who is 8 thinking she might like it. She loves it to bits and would watch it every night if she could. I too enjoyed watching it again. The songs are catchy and the dance routines are fab. Definately deserves its place in the top 100.I would say to those miserable people who have given it a bad review - if you hated it that much you should have stopped watching! Get a life!

This series is full of passion, drama and humour. All of the actors are great, and I especially like Hattie Morahan as Elinor. In a very convincing way she manages to portrait Elinor as a warm, intelligent woman with strong feelings underneath her restrained surface.
I just love it!

This is a stunning series, taking the viewer all around the British Isles and invoking not just the stunning and often wild imagery but the art, poetry and wildlife that was insired by it and also providing a good deal of information about those who created it.
David Dimbleby is a terrific presenter, relaxed, erudite, nuanced and clearly enjoying himself. I also have the equally brilliant How We Built Britain and only hope Mr Dimbleby puts more time and effort into further projects such as these.

I have never done pilates before and having read other reviews decided to purchase this dvd hoping for a good introduction to a pilates workout. And this is exactly what you'll get. If, like me, you're not a big fan of complicated dance routines done by a bunch of people in garish outfits whose 'ideal' bodies clearly have nothing to do with the exercise performed, you're gonna love this dvd. The exercises are shown in a slow and clear way by a friendly instructor - they are easy to follow even if you're doing it for the first time and effective from the first move. There are additional explanations or more/less advanced alternatives to a given exercise popping up when necessary but this is in no way distracting. The dvd is divided into several sections which makes it handy when you only have 15-20 minutes and want to do a short ... Read More:
