Wind Beneth my winds needs no introduction everybody knows it and if you listen to the lyrics it basically tells you the story of beaches

I absolutely love anything and everything pertaining to discworld; I have 2 characters on the Discworld online game, one of which is a newbie helper. I've listened to every single one of the discworld books at least twice, and preordered the Colour of Magic DVD the very second I possibly could. With all that being said, I simply had to get my hands on this movie as soon as I heard it existed. Fortunately, I have a region free DVD player, so I ended up purchasing this region 2 2 disc edition of Hogfather. I can't say enough about how much I love
this movie. It remains extremely faithful to the book; in a lot of cases, dialogue is word for word out of the book, something which, at least in my humble opinion, is all to rare in book to movie ... Read More:

Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory is the best children's film I have ever seen, better even than the book. All Roald Dahl fans out there BUY IT NOW
Release Date October 16, 2006
I love this dvd. Darkplace is a short and snappy comedy sci-fi/thriller series with the unique pretence that it's actually from the 1980s. Unlike other comedies the charade is continued in a truely professional style, even with excellent low-budget props, note Rick's hilarious car... Skipper The Eye Child is a very memorable episode, and the commentary about the censorship in the rape scene is brilliant. Some scenes are just brilliant even when taken out of context; like the scene where Dean is repeatedly blasting the resurected corpse they had just buried with a shotgun. Just the image of this is great entertainment, even without the other excellet features, such as great prop modelling, 'authentic' music and absurd exaggerated sexism towards Liz, who ... Read More:

I had quite high hopes for this film and possibly that would be the reason for my somewhat underwhelmed reaction to it, but this film falls short. The animation is amazing, from the train to each charachter to each scenic shot. The story is quite good, nothing ground breaking. However, to agree with another reviewer I found myself falling asleep. Once the train reaches its destination, which is about half way into the film, the film all of a sudden drags. It honestly seems like they hadn't intended to reach that point so soon so put together what seem to be scenes of random scenerios and circumstances for our main charachter as he explores off the intended track. From here on it is forgetable, lots of eye candy but little substance. It isn't a bad film but this ... Read More:

This is a depressing and miserable movie right up to the point where the Daddy gets shot and killed by a bank robber. At this point my 7 year old got up and walked out of the room saying "I dont like this film, I dont feel safe now". No matter what the end message is, why did Disney think that guns are OK in a Christmas movie for children? Only in America, eh.

This is one of the worst films I've seen in my life! When you are watching it,you absolutely can't stand Jane, who is presented sometimes as a mean and sometimes as an old spinster. The worst thing about the film is the way it was shot.Director did a poor job, especially when characters are walking,or dancing because it's like camera is moving as well,so sometimes it was so bad for my eyes. After you watched this film the only conclusion is that Jane Austen was a sad little creature-a plain Jane.

This film was exciting when I saw it in 1956 in Holland, and it is just as exciting now. How can one miss with the superb talent of Michael Redgrave, the stirring music of Eric Coates, and a gripping yarn that happens to be true? Much of the fascination of this film stems from its depiction of Barnes Wallis's process of planning and perfecting the bouncing bomb, and persuading Whitehall to go along with his eccentric idea. Equally interesting are the various makeshift devices, such as the range-finding lights and the home-made bombsight.
"The Dam Busters" tells the story of ingenuity and courage during wartime. In the wrong hands, such a topic might be heavy handed, but one of the things that British filmmakers of the 1950s did so well was to deliver their patriotic ... Read More:
