I'm afraid I have to agree with the earlier reviewer who said there is a fault with the DVD.
I have a 4:3 television and set my DVD player to letterbox. The film does not play in the correct aspect ratio, losing some of the picture at either side. Considering that one of the selling points of the 50th anniversary edition is that you get the entire original picture this is really disappointing. In addition, the picture appears to be somewhat squashed together so that the characters in the film appear far thinner then they should.
Initially I thought it was my DVD player causing the problems but I have no trouble with any of my other disks. After doing some research online at several other DVD review sites it appears ... Read More:

I own a lot of comedy DVDs, I watch a lot of live comedy, I watch a lot of TV comedy, I like comedy. I was suprised just how poor the comedy is in this DVD, Russell Howard seems to have very funny lines on Mock the Week, and it seemed I was not to be disappointed with the first few minutes of this DVD. However for the remainder (all except the last few minutes) I was staring blankly at the screen waiting for the man to say something vaguely funny. I am sorry Russell but your live routines just don't transfer to DVD which is a shame as I thought you might be at the leading edge of the 'new' comics (Frankie Boyle/Jimmy Carr/Sean Lock etc), lets hope like a good cheese he matures.

After Soprano's came to an end last year over here in blighty last year I was wondering would another series come along to give it a run for it's money.
I'm not sure what people think of David Chase's Mafia Epic but I can imagine cries of overrated being called out, I personally found utterly engrossing TV and simply sublime, I was somewhat sad to see it end but grateful Chase chose it to go out on high and yes I was perfectly happy with the opened ended abrupt ending to the final episode. Chase never was going to do conventional.
While I admit Showtime's Dexter started to fill that void, the 1st season was a great intro to the world of Miami's most interesting serial killer the 2nd season took the concept and ran with it, ... Read More:

The film was great to watch. Several songs were good and it was overall a enchanting film. The only let down was the ending but other then that it was a really good film.

This is not a film i wanted to see but my girlfriend pursuaded me to watch it. It was fun and light, with some more darker scenes. I thought the acting was done well and the special effects were very good.
It's not a serious film with a serious story but the story line was easy to follow and thoroughly enjoyable as you (as the viewer) were introduced to different charactrs.

I am a fan of the TV show, seen them all, so when I saw this in the sale had to give it a try. Some of the stuff in this is so outrageous that I am a little suprised it made it on DVD, but I am glad it did. Some of the stuff on this had me crying with laughter. A must purchase (unless you are easily offended!)

Though it's nice to have the entire Blackadder collection in one neat DVD-set, there's no comparison between Season One (1983) and the subsequent three seasons.
The 1983 series was directed by Rowan Atkinson (Blackadder) and Richard Curtis. Though Brian Blessed is a superb actor, the dialogue is mildly amusing at best. It simply can't hold a candle to the 1985, 1987 and 1989 seasons - all directed by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton. Season 2 is set in the first Elizabethan Era (late 16th century). Miranda Richardson is hilarious as Queen Elizabeth and it also features a young(ish) Stephen Fry as Lord Melchett. Season 3 is probably my favourite; it's set in the Regency period (early 19th century) where Hugh Laurie excels as Prince George. In one ... Read More:

In one of Walt Disney's classics, Bagheera the panther offers to take Mowgli, a young boy, to the man village before the evil tiger Shere Khan gets to him.
This family adventure is a classic, made so by a beautiful sentimental plot about human emotions, including loyalty, sensitivity and most importantly love. And these human emotions are decoded through the animals of the jungle.
With the enchanting and fun loving actions of Baloo the bear and the honest and hard actions of Bagheera, do audiences get that true feel of the human spirit, and the facts of life, to have fun, but to face the truth as well, which is also reflected in some of the most catchy and enjoyable songs ever created for a Disney picture.
