First of all, let's laugh at the adults moaning about this film being 'terrible' or 'shallow'. Apart from being entirely wrong, they also seem to have forgotten that this ones for the kids!
There are really two points of view that matter here; the kid that watches the movie repeatedly and the adult that has to put up with it! On the first account my three year old son has been watching this for at least a year and still loves it. Multiple viewings don't seem to have tarnished it much at all and the opening three minutes still make him giggle with delight.

In addition to all the positive things about this DVD I would just also like to mention two drawbacks:
1.) If you don't like the Walt Disney singing parades, this is a no for I'm afraid it contains quite a few
2.) The stories do NOT come to a natural and obvious end but rather one leads on to the other so you do have the debate as to whether the child may not watch a little more ...and just another little more ...

Firstly, i'm a guy, and although i'm not aversed to the rom-com, i prefer the "blow things up" catagory. Nevertheless, my girlfriend and i got this and watched it on DVD last night and i have to say, WHAT A FANTASTIC FILM.

It's interesting, insightful, funny. I think i spent a lot of time on the edge of the sofa, interested to what happens next. No Spoiler here, but the end is how films should finish. I finished watching this film and instantly all i wanted to do was watch it again.

If you want a great film that you could probably watch a number of times and never get bored, BUY THIS FILM.

ohh and if you are a guy, the presence of Isla Fisher and Rachel Wiesz is never going to be a bad thing.

When I sat down to watch this movie, I had no real expectations as the last Hulk movie was very poor, however with the recent spate of excellent Marvel films I was keeping my fingers crossed. Firstly I must say this was a huge improvement from the movie a few years back. The CGI was a lot less obvious and the movie had a much fuller story. Nice cameo from Lou Ferrigno as the security guard and of course Stan Lee. Looked good on Blu Ray, however not as much for me as Iron Man. Major downside for me was Liv Tyler, just didn't find her at all convincing.... to girly, breathless and pouting for a top scientist. This DVD version is absolutely fantastic. I watch it all the time. Both Sally Hawkins and especially Rupert Percy Jones are wonderful in this production. I was caught up with Cpt. Wentworth's cold icy look which gradually turned softer as he realised his feelings for Anne were being revived. I especially loved when they meet in the shop during the rain, when he speaks of how a man cannot overcome such a passion to such a woman, he can barely look at her! The parts were played perfectly and although it differentiates from the book on many levels I adored every second of it. I loved the 1995 version but Cpt. Wentworth was not how I imagined - I much prefer the RPJ eye candy with his dulcet dones declaring his undying love for Anne Elliot.

This is an excellent series with true BBC investigation and great contribution from experts and people that lived during the times that some of the programs refer to.
It is definitely worthwhile buying and watching the whole series and it gives many hours of entertainment at a very good price. I actually think that buying the 3 series in one box is a great advantage and worth the extra money as you can not get enough of it.Great value!
Please go ahead and buy all 3 and you will enjoy it for sure!!

I would give this 4 1/2 stars if i could.

I agree it is not as good as the others, because (as has been mentioned) most of the characters are not as strong as previous seasons.

This storyline also contains the most implausable, ridiculous plotline of all the seasons. 24 has always had plotlines which borderline on unbelievable but we let them off because the show is that good. I think we should also let them off here too because the season is great, however there is just too much "oh come off it!!" about this one storyline that you never really forget how silly this is.

So we have weaker characters (still strong nevertheless) and an unbelievable plot aspect but apart from that we have a classic 24 with terrific episodes and moments you will love as ... Read More:
