For the original series of James Bond films, Sean Connery defined the part quite effectively. Since Connery other actors such as George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan have attempted to portray this persona with the same elan with varying degrees of success. In my opinion none have measured up to Connery in the qualities of an international British agent with unsurpassed physical skills, sophistication and attraction for women. None until now. Daniel Craig makes one heck of a Bond! He fits this role equally well. Thus this movie is quite successful. The locations-Italy, Montenegro, the Bahamas- are fantastic with wonderful photography. Ive read the other reviews on Amazon, and a lot of what is said I completely agree with. The DVD itself is too short, the running time misleading (though the 16 minutes of unseen burp are really good), and a LOT of Burp Gold has been missed out.

HOWEVER! I am just very grateful to see this DVD released at all. Any fan of Burp will know that we have always been told there would never be an official release due to the sheer expense and copyright issues (a la the criminally un-released 'malcolm in the middle'). So it gives me great pleasure that we have been graced with an official release.

I wont spoil it by giving away the highlights, but, suffice to say, the whole 'ear cataracts' is here! A gem of a DVD. Cant wait for another! ... Read More:

Without out doubt The West Wing is one of the best TV series of all time. It is uneven with the earlier shows having the edge over the later ones and it does at times sink into sentimentailty but this sould not put you off watching. The cast is headed by Martin Sheen as President Josiah Barchlet, a liberal Democrat from New Hampshire. As President he is surrrounded by able aids and advisors who more that the President form the core of the show's action. These include Alison Janney as Press Secretary CJ Cregg, Richard Schiff as Toby Ziegler, the Communications Director. I recently watched this film and I was really impressed by it!
I've seen so many bad reviews about this film and I had doubts about buying it but I did and I'm so glad now!
People have been complaining about the ending on this film. I think it's great, although nothing much happens. There's so many films that end with a massive exploding finale but this one was pretty calm.
If you enjoyed the film then I'd recommend you reading the book which the film was based on by Cormac Mccarthy.

The 'revamp' of Dr Who has been the biggest tv disappointment of the last few years. A once brilliant national institution that had clever, imaginative stories, genuine scares, atmosphere and charismatic lead actors has degenerated into a flashy, pop-culture spouting, juvenile embarrassment with none of the charm, wit or magic of the classic series. This fourth series is the worst of the lot, the stories range from confusing, to lame to just plain awful and the whole series is hampered by the atrocious Catherine Tate playing the most irritaitng companion ever. The over-rated David Tennant just cruises along on autopilot and does absolutely nothing with the role apart from acting like a geeky nerd. My brother just bought this for me (I put him up rent free for months when he came back from traveling). One of the best things he has ever got me. There are five DVDs and I've already watched three, I've only had it a week.

When you watch it your just in awe of the scenery, it's beautiful. There is a purposefully made score for it that just adds to the enjoyment. As for people that say they can't hear David Attenborough because of the music, they must be deaf the music always quietens down when he talks. I love the Planet Earth Diaries parts, it's very enjoyable to watch.

I may be wrong but I think this was the first or first major nature progamme to be filmed fully in HD and it's all the better for it.

Absolutely brilliant adaptation and a great ensemble cast. I have to single out Eileen Atkins performance as the one which affected me most - the scene where she sits struggling with her ideas of convention as to whether she can attend the funeral in support of her friend is breathtakingly good - so much of what you understand is going on is not dialogue based but entirely down to her performance.

More drama of this quality please.
