never have been much of a 3 doors down fan but this album is sensational. full of killer tracks with sing along choruses. one of my favourite albums right now. well done guys, keep it up. a must have cd.

The Better Life

This is not my usual musical taste. I come across the track "Duck and Run" as a soundtrack to a youtube clip, showing the day to day ordeals of US soldiers in Iraq. I certainly do not regret buying the track's album for the quality of the other music is on a par.
Although certain songs like "Kryptonite" or "Loser" take a while to appreciate they reward the listener after a number of plays, reflecting the sombre mood of the album, where it seems life's problems overwhelm. I was surprised to learn this was a debut album as it does have mature, polished feel.

Another 700 Miles: Live

This album is amazing, and im only on track 5, still 2 more to go. This is the 1st time ive listened to this album, and only the 2nd album from this band that ive ever heard (i bought this 1, "17 days" and "the better life" all on the strength of "away from the sun", the 1st of their albums that i borrowed off my younger sister after she insisted we had it playing in my car). I am now a definite fan of this previoulsy unheard-of band. It's just amazing how good they sound on the live album. I bought it with slight trepidation, as all other bands whom ive heard live after hearing their pre-recorded albums always seem slightly lack-lustre, but these guys are amazing, there really is no difference in the quality of the music! Here Without You

Here Without You is an amazing track. Brad's vocals release a pure, raw emotion that gives the song a realism that is so often missing from tracks these days. This is one of my favourites 3 Doors Down track as it has a personal meaning for me, as I am in a long distance relationship and each line I can relate to 100%.

Brad gives a heartfelt, beautiful performance- I'm sure any lady (including me!) would be honoured to have a song like this sang to them by someone with Brad's fantastic voice!

I would recommend that you buy the album (Away from the Sun) if you haven't got it already and be prepared for it to remain in your CD player for a very long time! I can also recommend without hesitation, The Better Life and Seventeen ... Read More:

Seventeen Days

Being an avid 3 Doors Down fan, and having all their albums previous to this one, I couldn't wait for Seventeen Days to be released. So I visited the 3DD website to preview some of the tracks. My mind was made up after I heard Be Somebody (track 4), It's just such a great song, my favourite on the entire album. Seventeen Days features loads of phenomenal songs like Father's Son, Here By Me (which seems as though it was separated from Here Without You at birth, if you get what I mean), It's Not Me (from Another 700 Miles) and Landing in London with Bob Seger, the album also has both Here Without You and Away from the Sun's acoustic versions, on the UK bonus CD it also has Let Me Go aswell.

This CD is a great album from a great band, 3DD rock
