Well the title says it all, this CD/Album is a great one, in bought this from recommendation and loved it. Been using it for a long wile now, the music will never be out dated.....

Notice how the bad reviews for this album came after the release of their second album "Beautiful Lie" and they put "The Kill" on Scuzz and now all the trendy boys like them cause "oooh the singer wears make-up and sings about songs that relate to my pain" and the girls like them cause "oooh he's hot" I mean the fact that one reviewer described the band as "part emo, part goth" just goes to show how lame their fanbase has become.

My advice would be to buy this album and pretend that they fell into a black hole afterwards, because Beautiful Lie sucked and they should be ashamed of themselves for selling out so bad.

The album is all my favourite songs bundled into one package. Ive been listening to 30STM for ages now but this is th 1st time I've owned a hard copy of their music. The combination of striking guitar, drums and the amazing voice of Jared Leto make for some pretty decent listening!
The bonus is getting the 2nd cd filled with extras: music videos, Making-Of's, MTV selections. . . totally worth the extra money, even if you were only looking for the album in the first place!
An essential for any 30 Seconds To Mars fan!!!

I don't usually say this about a band. But this album is PERFECT. Ranging from subdued and intimate to arena-filling rock anthems.

Jared's voice is on TOP form, and I mean that, just listen to "From Yesterday" if you don't believe me. He may be on a complete ego-trip with this album, but hell, he's earnt it.

It is massive, extravagant, daring, tight and simply amazing. Utilising different time signatures (such as the 3:4 time signature in "The Kill" - hence its Waltz feel, and the waltz dance in the video), and different tunings, 30STM have really set the bar for other bands to live up to.

The version of From Yesterday on here is slightly edited from the version appearing on their album 'A Beautiful Lie' this is a wonderously well-produced song full of lush synth strings and U2 style atmospheric guitar work. It goes through all kinds of emotions - scary, uplifting, angry - all delivered extremely well by Jared Leto. 30 Seconds To Mars seem to be one of those bands music critics seem determined to slate - but with tunes as good as this, that criticism is unjustly thrust on them. An amazing song.

The stunning b-side is a complete transformation of Kanye West's number 1 single, in my opinion at least, surpasses the original. Easily one of the best Live Lounge recordings too, it's haunting and ... Read More:
