Notice how the bad reviews for this album came after the release of their second album "Beautiful Lie" and they put "The Kill" on Scuzz and now all the trendy boys like them cause "oooh the singer wears make-up and sings about songs that relate to my pain" and the girls like them cause "oooh he's hot" I mean the fact that one reviewer described the band as "part emo, part goth" just goes to show how lame their fanbase has become.

My advice would be to buy this album and pretend that they fell into a black hole afterwards, because Beautiful Lie sucked and they should be ashamed of themselves for selling out so bad.

I don't usually say this about a band. But this album is PERFECT. Ranging from subdued and intimate to arena-filling rock anthems.

Jared's voice is on TOP form, and I mean that, just listen to "From Yesterday" if you don't believe me. He may be on a complete ego-trip with this album, but hell, he's earnt it.

It is massive, extravagant, daring, tight and simply amazing. Utilising different time signatures (such as the 3:4 time signature in "The Kill" - hence its Waltz feel, and the waltz dance in the video), and different tunings, 30STM have really set the bar for other bands to live up to.

Shannon Leto (Jared's brother) is by far one of the most amazing rock drummers to appear recently, with technical drumming, ... Read More:

I don't usually say this about a band. But this album is PERFECT. Ranging from subdued and intimate to arena-filling rock anthems.

Jared's voice is on TOP form, and I mean that, just listen to "From Yesterday" if you don't believe me. He may be on a complete ego-trip with this album, but hell, he's earnt it.

The album is all my favourite songs bundled into one package. Ive been listening to 30STM for ages now but this is th 1st time I've owned a hard copy of their music. The combination of striking guitar, drums and the amazing voice of Jared Leto make for some pretty decent listening!
The bonus is getting the 2nd cd filled with extras: music videos, Making-Of's, MTV selections. . . totally worth the extra money, even if you were only looking for the album in the first place!
An essential for any 30 Seconds To Mars fan!!!

I heard this song by accident while flicking between kerrang and scuzz 1 afternoon. I rarely stick around to listen to a song I haven't heard before but the first few notes of this song were very reminiscent of Placebo and I decided to give it a chance.

The song does indeed have placebo influences, from the haunting minor keys to the almost 'basic fun keyboard' sounding riffs. I'm shorlty going to buy the album as this song really did stick in my head, but the only thing that stopped it getting 5 stars is the singing. He's trying to be Chester from Linkin Park, mixing smooth, heart felt vocals with screaming worthy of a scandinavian death metal band. The unfortunate thing is this contrast could work so well in a song like this but it's over ... Read More:
