Most U.S. audiences first became aware of them from "All Fall Down", which hit the R&B and dance charts. "Can't Wait Another Minute" and "If I Say Yes" are prime examples of Brit-Pop at it's finest. Why they never became super huge here is still a mystery. |

Legendsby: Five Star Release Date September 27, 2004 I was and still am a huge Five Star fan having all their albums and most of their singles on vinyl i was browsing through amazon and cam across this 3 cd set and i have to say it's fantastic the tracks on here still sound as fresh as they did in the eighties...what a joy to listen to...every track is brilliant i forgot how good Five Star actually were i'm sure every track from their four albums is on here but i could be wrong!!!.My fave tracks are ALL of them!! If you were a fan of Five Star buy this today it's absolutely fantastic! I think we should have Five Star back in the charts!! |

. Heart and Soulby: Five Star Release Date May 11, 1995 A follow up to their superior 1991 album 'Shine', 'Heart and Soul' is even better. Taking a complete turn towards R&B it features some of their best work: Ten tracks beggining with their version of '(I love you) For Sentimental Reasons' and finishing with the uplifting 'I Give You Give' (which made the UK top 100). The highlights are the silky smooth 'The Writing on the Wall' and 'When You Get Home' where Denise reaches new heights with her soaring vocals. There are one or two average tracks (eg 'Secret From My Heart') but they are still listenable.
