After buying Aly & AJ's first album 'Into The Rush' and loving it I was very excited to hear that they were releasing 'Insomniatic'.

I got this album in July because I brought it from America.

1.Potential Breakup Song 10/10- Nice electronic beats. Different to their first album

2.Bullseye 9/10-Great, catchy song

3.Closure 8/10 probably my least favourite song off the album but i still love it!!

4.Division% 10/10- A great song. I like the chorus and their voices

5.Like It Or Leave It 9/10 - A great fast song great fast beats and words.

I first heard of Aly and AJ when I seen the music video of "Walking On Sunshine". After hearing the cover I was interested in hearing more of the girls music. So I decided to purchase their album "Into the Rush" and I was not disappointed. Each track has honest lyrics and great guitar playing. These girls have talent, the tracks to look out for are Collapsed, On the Ride, I Am One of Them and Protecting Me 10/10.

Roads Not Travelled

Oops, Amazon, for listing this under just Aly Bain, when it features heavily the beautiful music of Phil Cunningham. This CD contains some wonderfully evocative tunes, as well as the jaunty little Para Handy theme, and other music that may not be as well-known.

The stand-out track is Phil Cunningham's A Bright Star in Cepheus, written in memory of his brother, Johnny. I heard that tune on Phil's MySpace and had to buy the CD. It has to be one of the most achingly emotional pieces of folk music ever written, sooner or later someone will discover it, and put it on a film soundtrack. Surely.

Insomniatic

I love Aly & A.j's music, Into the Rush and Acoustic Hearts of Winter were awesome, so i had to buy this one.
Okay i admit at first i was a little worried, i heard clips of the songs and they weren't as good as their old ones but after listening to them the second time i loved it and couldn't get enough. The songs are catchy, upbeat and still have a great message.

potential break-up song - Different from their usual style but great 10/10
Bulleseye - great guitar, beat and vocals 10/10
Closure - nice tune, great 'getting over break-up' track 9/10
Division - fantastic ballad, mixes both girls voices perfectly 9/10

The enthusiasm and energy which comes through in the jigs and reels always makes you feel so enthralled by their performance and each time you listen to the tracks you can really appreciate the shockingly high standard of this superb cd.
