Blink 182 were one of the first bands i got into because of my brothers. It was these sort of bands like, Blink, The Offspring, Green Day and Sum 41 that got me into the "rock" side of music when i was about 7 or 8ish. I'm now more into Punk Punk, instead of pop punk. But i cant slate this because it was my gateway band and i do still listen to these occasionaly.
OK so its pop-punk, but who cares? It sounds good, their pretty darn good musicians aswell!
Release Date November 17, 2003
This album is good. It features the best song Blink 182 have ever made; "I Miss you". This song has perfect pacing and metaphorical lyrics with deeper meanings. You MUST hear this song before you die. Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge both work together very well on this song; their voices contrasting perfectly.
The rest of the album is a little bit shaky. Some of the songs are great whearas some are bland and forgettable. "Violence" has a pointless intro and a questionable layout but features an excellent chrous which more than makes up for the errors in the song. It's a fun song but is it excellent? I'm not sure.
"Down" is a good song and was released as a single. It has a good chorus, but what makes the song great is ... Read More:

i got this when i was at university and for that i will always hold a special place in my heart for it,its blink 182 at their most anthemic, most vital and most fun,its an album that is packed with classic after classic, its impossible not to love songs like dumpweed, dont leave me,aliens exist, the aptly titled going away to college,as i was in another country for university, whats my age again and adams song, the remaining songs are all good as well, there isnt really a bad song on here,it isnt life changing music by any means, and of course all the songs tread the formula that nofx helped create but its all good honest fun,who can complain about that?

This is not Blink 182's best album, no. It's still good but just lacks the wow factor, plus it doesn't have Travis as the drummer. I don't like the rawness of the songs. My favourite song on it is Dammit, also Enthused and Untitled are good. Degenerate is hilarious. This album is good but not my favourite is you like Cheshire Cat then this'll be for you. If you like TOYPAJ maybe not.

'Take off Your Pants and Jacket' was the first album when Blink started to write more mature songs. Earlier albums were more for humour and had funny songs. This album has those, and is still classic Blink 182, but shows a more mature side to the boys. In my opinion, this is a good thing, as they have come out with their best album. Tracks:
'Anthem Part 2': Good opener to the album. A classic Blink song with humour and a great one to sing along to. 4/5
'Online Songs': Another sorn with 'Josie' in it. Great song. Quick and to the point, its funny but slightly serious at the same time. 4/5
'First Date': Classic Blink track. Funny but you can hear how true it is aswell. One of Blink's best songs. 5/5
Release Date December 23, 2002
I can honestly say this album is THE best album...EVER! If you like Blink-182 at all then this album is a must. There is a complete variety of songs, the more serious ones like Cacophony are amazing (if you like Stay Together For The Kids then you'll like that). If you like Blinks stupider side then this album is full of them. Depends is about urinating themselves with a hilarious speech made by Mark at the end. Does My Breath Smell? is another. Of course this album holds Carousel which is amazing, the long intro builds up the musical excitement which of course is present in the rest of the album.
Cheshire Cat is a great punk-rock album, and with Blink-182 making it, who wouldn't find this album amazing?!

This album is really, really poor! I'm not an enormous fan of Blink 182, but I do appreciate some of their recent work. I found that the self titled album, Enema and Take Off Your Pants were full of uplifting, musical songs. This album shows how the band's music has evolved from this stripped-down, sped-up version of Blink 182, with a very unmusical, whiney and tinny sound. Basically, this is like listening to a very fast, annoyingly non-mellodic version of a decent US Punk band like Lagwagon or Ten Foot Pole.
I give each song on my WM Player a rating out of 5, all of these songs got 1s and 1.5s except Time which I generously gave 2 Sorry if this review offends Blink 182 purists but really this is poor music. I would certainly recommend Take Off Your Pants ... Read More:
