Anderson has reached a new low with this album. Incredibly frustrating to listen to. I've given it three plays with an open mind in the hope some of it might grow on me, but no, there's nothing likeable about this album at all. It's a real shame considering some of his highlights of the past. If this was a debut you'd never hear of him again. With luck he'll be on form again for the next release.

As a huge Suede fan, I approached this CD with caution as Brett Anderson's solo work has grown on me, but only after a great deal of work. This collection, stripped down to piano and acoustic / string versions of Suede classics is amazing. The sound quality is second to none and is crystal clear. Love Is Dead [7" VINYL]

The b-sides to Love is Dead are as good as anything on Brett Anderson's album and are definitely worth picking up. When listening to the album now, I keep wishing these were on the CD too, which is surely a positive sign?! Anyway, here's hoping Brett releases another single from the album so that we get some more tracks of this quality.

The b-sides to Love is Dead are as good as anything on Brett Anderson's album and are definitely worth picking up. When listening to the album now, I keep wishing these were on the CD too, which is surely a positive sign?! This isn't a review of the single at all, but instead a warning to other customers that Amazon has listed this item wrong - it has only 2 tracks, not 5, to my disappointment. Amazon, you're listing 2 versions of the cd single now, which both (!) claim to have 5 tracks! This caused both me and a seller a lot of trouble, so you won't be able to label me a "happy Amazon customer" anymore.
