The Album Is Brilliant, no question
But if you are buying this album to put on your ipod prepare to be disapointed. Running a computer with only a DVD player the CD does not react to windows media player or Itunes as a music CD and insistes on only providing the DVD content. It is impossable for me therefor to get at a product i have paid for with good money. Highly annoying.

Being a huge fan of Bryan Adams, was anticipating this album a lot. Listened to it a couple of times, but then totally lost interest and have not listened to it since then. The lyrics, music choice and everything else seems to be just polished up from previous work. I mean, here we have one of the best male singers of the world, who did unforgettable master pieces before, but now there is nothing special coming out any more. I hardly remember the songs now, and to be honest do not even feel like going back to play it again. Was hoping for more of a change, more rhythm, more greatness from Bryan Adams, but was a bit disappointed. It is not a bad album, the songs are good, but I was expecting something a lot better than that, hence only two stars, just ... Read More:

Bryan Adams is by far my favorite male rock singer, he's amazing and this wonderful 2 CD disc set does Bryan true justice. All in his greatest hits are here, ''Summer Of 69'', ''Cut's Like A Knife'', ''Remember'', ''Run To You'' and ''Heaven'' are just a few of the magic tracks spread out on this collection. Duets, hand-written songs, it's all here and 100% GREAT. Adams is one of the few male arists who needs no introduction, he's been on the go for four decades and still as good as what he ever was, a true talent and gem in the world of rock music.
Bryan Adams ROCKS!!!
Release Date September 29, 1997
As seems to be the case with nearly all decent albums these days, I wonder when a suitable 'upgrade' of this old cd will appear? Hoping for better mastering and bonus tracks (the rare B-side "Diana" for starters)!

Bryan Adams was one of those fortunate guitarists with Fate and Destiny on his side when that Lucky Pixie with the 'Bag Of Incredible Rock Riffs' spilled so many of 'em over Bryan and his guitar. This man has been very fortunate, and mostly, you only have to hear the first chord and the song is instantly recognisable.
With this CD you just can't go wrong, the humble 'So Far, So Good' just doesn't cut it, and even the added 'The Best Of' is a gross understatement. Just his hits have been picked out really, because every album track is quite a corker, and I've not heard a 'duff' or 'filler' track from him yet. These days, if you're new to him, this one is a great start, then get the rest of the albums, well, you'll want to, anyway.

A great many of the Unplugged series albums have been hit and miss and it is a relief to hear this one from Bryan Adams ending up firmly in the hit section. He manages to rework his songs just enough to fit the acoustic format and yet they retain their original feel throughout. Tracks such as 'Summer of 69' and 'Run to You' are staggeringly good played acoustic and the upbeat 'Back to You' and 'I Think About You' never fail to get my toes tapping every time I hear them. 'When You Love Someone' has a beautiful Celtic feel to it that elevates it above the ordinary on this album as well. As far as Bryan Adams and Unplugged albums goes this one rates pretty highly and is well worth a try.

'Waking Up the Neighbours' is the excellent album from Bryan Adams that first turned me onto his music. It has a great rock sound and whenever I listen to this album it takes me right back to my childhood. Due to being produced by Robert 'Mutt' Lange this album has a feel very reminiscent of Def leppard from the same time (also produced by Mutt) with similar backing vocals and guitar sound, no bad thing though. There are plenty of stand out tracks, from the softer 'Can't stop this thing we've started' to slightly rockier 'touch the hand', and of course the now anthemic (and slightly overplayed) '(Everything I do) I do it for you'. But all the tracks on this album sit together very well and provide a great overall sound. For a first try of Bryan Adams' albums you can't ... Read More:

I took my daughter to see this film at the pictures when it came out and I just had to have the soundtrack its brilliant and I'm not really a Bryan Adams fan. This album led me to find Sarah Mclauchlan who duets on "Don't let go" she is excellent and is on a lot of soundtracks I now have all her albums.

I like Bryan Adams but this bores you to death. A couple of good songs but the rest lacks any sort of interest. Slow tempo, soft lyrics, no strong melodies or riffs. Dull!
Release Date September 20, 2004
This has some great songs on it (East Side Story, Open Road) but there are some right duffers too (Flying, Why do you have to be so hard to love). Bryan Adams has struggled to release a consistent album since Waking up the Neighbours. This album doesn't stop the rot!
