While I am certain that many fans of Bullet for my Valentine will really hate this album because of it's slightly more comercial sound, I think it's a fantastic album with lots of great, memorable songs that will sit nicely in their live set with tracks off 'The Poison' and the EP. I will rin through the album track by track:

Scream Aim Fire - A great opener to the album and title track. As soon as I heard this song on Kerrang! I knew the album was going to be great. Great chours and solo. 9/10

Eye of the Storm - Another really strong track with some classic BFMV-style vocals and drumming. 8/10

Bullet for My Valentine's debut album, and what a debut, awesome riffs, powerful vocals and emmense Solo's is what a debut should have. Having heard only two songs from this album before I bought it, I thought it was about time broadened my musical horizons (from just listening to Metallica & Slipknot!). Beginning the album with a soft melodic intro, which features Apocalyptica, which leads prefectly into 'Her Voice Resides', A Thrash annihilation with screams but leads to smooth vocals by Matt Tuck and the boys.
'Cries in Vain' was originally taken from their self-titled five track UK EP and the US six track EP Hand of Blood and '4 Words (To Choke Upon)' was originally taken from the EP Hand of Blood.

When it comes to emo music, i'm not usually keen on it, but this is different. It is powerful, enthusiastic, heavy and musicly wonderful. Matt Tuck's screaming and the guitar work is clever and the drumming fills in every bit of silence.

This gig has got to be the best gig I have ever seen. Its great. Bullet are amazing live, great solos. Extras are pretty cool aswell.

THE ALBUM
It seems like the boys from the valleys have run out of ideas. This just sounds like rehashes of songs you've heard before. It's boring. The song writing is juvenile, and the production is mediocre, but good enough to make otherwise lame songs sound at least semi-professional. BFMV are very lucky to have had such a good debut with THE POISON, which is twice the album this is. Their touring schedule, and enviable support slots (with Metallica !!!) would not have been possible if SCREAM AIM FIRE had come first - in fact they probably wouldn't have got chance to even record a second album.
THE PACKAGE
What a rip off. The packaging on this is very misleading. It says that it contains the "Making of SCREAM AIM FIRE" documentary. ... Read More:
