From the Redwoods to the Rockies

Having enjoyed a number of Rippingtons cd's I thought that this may provide some development in that genre of music as Russ Freeman pairs up with another guitarist. Sadly not.

Much of it is banal elevator music that loses you all too quickly & doesn't really have anything going for it at all.

Proof once again that some artists have only a finite amount of creative output before they end up regurgitating previous, better quality material.

This album has been my introduction to Craig Chaquico (Cha-key-so), and now have realised that he was the lead guitarist and songwriter for Jefferson Starship who had two UK album hits in 1976 (Spitfire) and 1980 (Freedom At Point Zero). He has been awarded with 13 gold and platinum albums, and no doubt will have had more in recent time.
This was his solo instrumental debut in 1993 which will introduce you to an exciting new dimension in his music. I shall be buying more of his work.
