When I bought this, iPod's wasn't around but it stayed permanently in my CD player for the best part of a year. Having never really been a huge ran of rnb, I bought this on a whim (hey, I was young) but this is one of the few albums of my younger years that I bothered putting on my iPod.

It is quite frankly the best DC album. "Brown Eyes" will always have a place in my heart.

For the first few years of the 21st century, Destiny's Child ruled the roost in terms of pop music. Their touch was golden, and pretty much everything they released was extremely successful in the UK or the USA, or both.

Listening to this collection, it's not difficult to know why. Their competence in carrying off great pop hooks is considerable, and their vocals are way better than those of people in so-called 'credible' Indie bands. Vocals should actually count for something, and by God can Beyonce Knowles carry a note.

This album is a great peice of work from destiny's child. It will always be their greatest album. The lyrics and beats are varied so much throughout. It has a mixed bag of love songs and sexy r n' b beats. My personal favorites on this album are "so good","bugaboo","hey ladies","jumpin jumpin","get on the bus". This album shows that DESTINY'S CHILD have talent, not just BEYONCE. It got everyone noticing that these girls were ready to take over the world by storm! ****IT'S A MUST HAVE!!!!****

just not enough songs - otherwise its a 5star album
the girls are now women oozin' a lotta sex appeal - no more girly stuff
the songs are very topical - very relevant - very current - very cross-roads - this just has to be their best album - they must have been very busy - busy as a bee can be - they all did real well - 'twas nice to see solange in there too - just not enough

this album has heart, coming from four amazing and beautiful young ladies.theres maturity shown in almost every song on the album which is really great and very much unexpected.the writings on the wall contains pure soul which is pretty self explanitory,great album.

8 Days of Christmas

.............A copy of this great cd, i dare you to buy it and only get it out at christmas! It can be enjoyed the whole year round i mean i was listing to in greece in June! A absolute must have in your collection, next to the writings on the wall and survivor of course! 10/10 Good on you girls, you're at your best on this album.....Beyonce, Michelle and Kelly you rock! I'm sure if you asked these three ladies whether they would become one of the most successful female groups of all time they would say that could only dream. Destiny's Child has been one of the most important and reliable R&B groups of our generation. It seems that every ten years you get a female R&B group that change the face of R&B. DC's predecessors clearly being TLC. However, DC will make for a hard act to follow.
It is very hard to get a best of album to earn five stars as the songs often had more impact a the time of their release and the fifth star comes as stripe to illustrate that the group/artist survived the test of time.
