I bought this awhile back on the strength of the title track i wasn't dissapointed at all each track is brilliant and has a very good meaning to it. My favourite are Stand Up And Shout, Holy Diver, Don't Talk To Strangers, Invisible, Rainbow In The Dark & Shame On The Night basically the whole album. The solos are brilliant dio's vocals are awesome (obviously). The Interview is very interestibng to listen to, the booklet is great aswell. A great album deffinetly recommend you buy this. DIO ROCKS!!!!!

Living in Oman/ Arabia, working in Abu Dhabi & Dubai/ U.A. Emirates and travelling for business reasons all over the Gulf region and the Middle East I like to discuss with my Arabian friends and customers about the world most famous opera singers and most popular popmusic singers of both cultures - the Western (European & North American) and the Oriental culture.
We enjoy to listen to the best opera singers in Europe and in the Middle East. I was astonished to find CDs with music of Carreras, Domingo and Pavarotti in the homes of my Arabian friends - no wonder, many of them studied in their youth in the U.S. or in U.K.! My friends in Arabia deeply admire and truly appreciate CARRERAS, DOMINGO and PAVAROTTI !
Wonderful guitar riffs and the powerful voice of Ronnie James Dio makes this album one of the greatest ever.
Starting with the heaviest song "We rock" and ending with the softer melody "Egipt - The Chains are on" its a great pleasure to hear this album.Bands like these come once in a lifetime.

Sung with a deep and melodramatic voice, these tracks have an unmistakable feel of cabaret about them - but in a cool, Edith Piaf/Jacques Brel sort of way. Doleful accordions weep in the background as Dani Klein's alto tells tales of bad men and desperate love, and you can imagine nighthawks slouching over their absinthe in, as one track specifies, "a sleazy part of town". Very Edward Hopper.
They pull it off, though. All this seedy, sexy, tango-ish over-the-top melancholia actually works. Just about every song on this CD is instantly recognisable. The sound is latino-inspired, but filtered through the chanson-tradition of the group's native Belgium. This best-of album spans two decades, from their first hit, jazzy "I Don't Want To Know" (mid-eighties) to big belter ... Read More:

This is my favourite Dio album. There is not one track I find myself skipping on the CD tuner as I drive home on the motorway after work.
Yes some are stronger than others, but it is clear that the line up change had injected a bit of a stimulus into a formula which was in danger of getting stuck in a rut and becoming complacent.
This, next to Holy Diver, is the most essential Dio CD in my collection.

The day was August 12th 2004. The location was the Birmingham Carling Acadamy. The band was Dio. I was at the front of the stage barely two metres away from the man himself. After two solid hours of non-stop classics from almost all of his albums plus the hummbling expearience of touching the hand of God, there was no doubt left in my mind. Ronnie James Dio is the king, the massiah and the ultimate saviour of Heavy Metal Rock n' Roll. I bought Lock up the Wolves for two main reasons. One was for the title track, truely one of the greatest Dio tracks (Yes that includes any song from Holy Diver and the Last in Line) And the second reason was actually because the cover art is the coolest (The cover art for Angry Machines is second in my poll) I may have bought the album ... The Last In Line was a high water mark for Dio in his solo career and nothing subsequently has come close to touching it's level of sheer craftsmanship and energy. Following it up was always going to be tricky and Sacred Heart really isn't up to the job. Whereas LIL crackled and sparkled with ideas, this is a fairly straightforward delivery of some pretty basic arrangements (in Dio terms). Opener `King of Rock n Roll' is a frenetic kick off, harping pack to Dios Rainbow harder moments. However it is dogged throughout by an annoying fake crowd noise which is designed to give a live energy feeling to the song but simply sounds electronic. The title track Sacred Heart is up second as Holy Diver, Last In Line and Dream Evil all sat in their respective albums running order. This plodder ... Read More:

God can Ronnie James Dio do anything bad? Well probably yes but he just keeps on getting better and better. Dio's first concept album and an awesome first concept album indeed. I think the guitarist(His name escapes me) on Magica and Killing The Dragon is amazing. First when you get this you must listen to the album in full(as it is a concept album), then once you've that you get to rock out to some of the best songs you'll ever like Lord Of the Last Day, Fever Dreams, Turn To Stone, Challis and so on. Dio's vocals are awesome on this album(duh) as is everything else on this album is awesome.
The annoying parts on this album are when at the start/end of some songs has an annoying robot speaking but thankfully not for long so that's a small minor. Also the last song Magica which is ... Read More:

Have you ever experienced music taking you to bars that are just about to close, lights just turned on to full degree, people leaving and chattering, some drunk in their loved one's arms, while a stranger approaches you to make a sleazy comment. You know his intentions, but you cannot yet resist, because you are tipsy?
If there is one album that plays music with pictures, feelings, sounds, touch, and smell then this is the one.
Vaya con Dios burst onto the scene with their premier album, simply breathtaking. Powerful lyrics, enchanting music, and fantastic sense of song. That powerful voice by Dani Klein... She will recreate the rythm of a slowing train by singing syllables of a line, she will lay her heart with emotion coming from the song, and she will recreate any situation ... Read More:
