It took me a lot of listens to finally decide what I thought of this album. When I first started it up, having heard the first track 'Paralyzer' and being quite excited about the more funk based, bouncy style, I was initially disappointed. It seems that with this album the lyrics have taken a step backwards, they aren't as clever or as thoughtful as previously. There is far more repetition than I feel comfortable with, especially in an album that's only 41 minutes long, which makes it seem like there is a final heavier and faster song missing from the tail end of the album. This could be because the quieter songs just don't have the same impact as those from the last album, or that the heavier songs just sound so much better.

this album is good!
nearly a year after buying it i can stiull go back to it any time, just turn it on and lose myself in the menthol cool stylings of this canadian rock band.
a definate must buy.

These guys have got to be my fav band They blend excellent vocals with catchy melodies. This was thier first album and i think its thier best! It took me a while to get into them...but once i did, i couldnt stop listening.
The best songs being Quicksand, Condenser and of course Awake and Dreaming .
