I bought this album as I knew bits of the Foos but hadn't really listened to them before. The music is brilliant in parts but vocals a bit too "shouty" for my taste personally.

I love this album! At first I thought the second cd was boring, but after having heard it a few more times I liked it more and more, and now I think I like the quiet one even better than the loud one. I love the melodies and the calm sound, it`s great!

There Is Nothing Left to Lose

This album is really good. Come on - as if you didn't already know that! With the Foo Fighters there is a certain level of quality that you expect- and they always deliver.
The BEST songs on the album are 'Breakout'(I Love the screaming!), 'Learn To Fly'(A pop song, but still good), 'Live-Skin'(A good song for various reasons). There are other songs that are good as well. Such as 'Gimme Stitches', 'M.I.A, ect. but the first three songs I mentioned are really good and you will remember them for years to come.
The album only has a few bad songs which suffer from being very boring('Generator').

Skin And Bones

The Live album Skin and Bones is a brilliant and varied album from the Foos. Feauturing classics such as 'Times like these' and 'best of you' peformed live by Dave Grohl and co. - a must-have for Foo fighters fans - the lyrical performances are strong and emotive, even though you're not witnessing it live, the recording is excellent. Grohl is stripped to his acoustic core, in this brilliant and inspiring live album, truly amazing!

One By One

After reading the review about this being a copy protected disc, I wasn't sure whether to buy this album or the original version as I listen to a lot of my music on my mp3 player. I took the risk anyway as others had not mentioned it and am glad I did. Although the disc does say that it is copy protected, I had no trouble playing and ripping it to my pc using media player. It is a brilliant album and also includes a bonus disc which has some really good tracks on too. Do not miss out on this great bargain.

I'm glad that I had got The Colour and the Shape and Nothing Left to Lose before I got this. To me is has always sounded rougher and a lot less commercial than the later albums. I like it more now but it took me a while to get into as it isn't as polished and some of the songs sound a bit messy and dated.

One of my favourite songs from this album is `Exhausted'. I thought there was something wrong with my CD when I first heard it! It's made up of static or feedback (something like that I'm not a technical person when it comes to music), and drumming. You really get used to it after a couple of listens and it sounds a lot better but very moody and distant sounding. This is a collection of really well crafted songs, in fact, 'All My Life' is one of my all time favourite songs.The album has great vocals and guitar throughout but what on earth have they done with the drums and bass. Both sound as though they were recorded in a padded cell giving the impression that the drum kit was cobbled together on a budget of less that $100. In my dreams this album was produced by Jimmy Page with Flea on bass and John Bonham on drums. 'One by One' could have been a classic.
